*AVA*

Returning to my oddly cold room after dinner was hard for me. It was weird not being in my own bed, and not having my vanilla scented candle brining a warm sensation through out my room. I hated these damn springy mattresses and white brick walls everything is so dull.

In a way this is like a punishment, I don't want to be here I never wanted this help. Damn it Zayn was right I don't want to be helped I can't be helped so why are they waisting their precious time. I shut my eyes in the dark room the only light being the moon.

One day in hell down.

~

"Good morning" I turned my head to see the same red-head from the support group yesterday.

Oddly Zayn hadn't showed up for breakfast so, I was stuck sitting alone.

"Um, good morning" I responded.

She took a seat across from me and laid her arms on the gray fold up table. I noticed cuts going up her arms her skin completely tattered. Yet she still had a lovely spark in her blue eyes.

She cleared her throat. "I'm so sorry" I said frantically.

She must have realized I was staring at her arms. "No, its fine I'm used to it" She reassured me, though it didn't make me feel like any less of a monster.

"Still I apologize, oh, hi I'm Ava" I took my hand out and she shook it.

"I'm Ginger funny isn't it" She laughed referring to her hair.

I nodded. "Call me Gin and yes, like the alcohol drink."

"Well Gin, I'm glad you introduced yourself" I told her truthfully.

"As am I okay tell me about your self" She put her elbows on the table and placed her head in her hands, causing her cheeks to be pushed up in a humorous way.

"Well, I'm seventeen I'm a senior-"

"No,no,no who are you soul wise"

Her questioned confused me, huh, who am I. So far I was a happy high school student with a perfect boyfriend. Whom in which I found dead. Some how I know she doesn't want to hear all that. So, who am I.

"I-I don't know" I finally answered.

"You'll find out soon"

"Who are you" I asked.

"Me, I'm the tree's. Swaying in the free wind, has free birds nest in me, but, I am attached at the roots aching to walk like the animals and humans yet, knowing if I become detached I'll die and whither away at some point."

I wanted to cry that, that was beautiful in a way. I feel link I've known her forever though it's been mere minutes.

"Wow" Was all that can come out. Her words caused me to stop eating my cold oatmeal and stare at her in awe.

She shrugged. "Everyone is something but, sometimes people get lost finding who they are don't be one of those people Ava" She warned.

"I-I won't" I promised.

"Good its ten we should get to the support group" I nodded and followed her to the large room where I would be spending everyday in.

"Hello beautiful souls" Margaret greeted us all as everyone filed into the room.

"You guys are all going to be here for months and I feel you guys aren't social enough." She said. She's wrong I'm only here for two weeks, I'm confused.

"So I'm putting you in groups of three to introduce one another"

Just as she said these words in walked Zayn he looks exhausted. There were bags under his eyes and his midnight locks are all disheveled.

"Zayn I want you to sit with Raquel,Ginger and Nikki." He groaned as did I. I'm not good meeting new people.

"Ava, Jax, and Carlie." Who are they?

A younger guy maybe fifteen walked over to me, and a girl seemingly my age trailed behind him. The girl,Carlie I presume had big brown eyes in an almond shape she had a very tiny body and it looked like she was shaking.

The boy Jax was her opposite, he had a buff body and blue eyes. "Sup" He called.

"Um..hi" I said.

"Ava, I-I, I am Carlie" The girl introduced herself even more shy than I usually am.

"How long have you two been here" I asked.

"Three months" Jax answered.

"Same" Carlie said.

"Oh, I'm only here for two weeks" I told them happy I don't have to stay as long as them.

They looked at one another.

"Lauren-Hills is a facility where people stay months" Max said.

"No, that must be a mistake" It's a mistake, right?

"Maybe" Carlie breathe a shaky breathe as did I.

That's a mistake.

*ZAYN*

After getting a night of no sleep due to constant nightmares and no breakfast because I didn't feel like getting up, I was actually glad to step in the cafeteria for lunch. I need food in my system even if it's this s*hitty Lauren-Hills food.

I walked over to the table I sat at during dinner yesterday after getting a ham sandwich. Ava was already sat there of course, Jesus.

"Hi" I greeted bitterly.

"Hey" She responded dully picking at her Mac and cheese.

I took a seat across from her just like yesterday and took a bite of the sandwich.

"I need a cigarette so f*ucking bad." I complained out loud unintentionally.

Her yet shot up her brown locks moving swiftly.

"You smoke?" She asked.

"Obviously" I answered, Oh God here we go.

"That's disgusting" She said and let out a fake gag.

"Their amazing"

"They kill" She pointed out.

"Their still orgasmic" I praised.

"Oh, oh my God  Zayn why" She asked her brows furrowing and a small crease formed in between them.

"Their everything I need, Ava if I could f*uck a cigarette I would." I told her.

She rolled her eyes and laughed a whole hearted laugh.

"Its still disgusting"

This time it was my turn to roll my eyes. Everything went quiet as we went back to eating our food the atmosphere changing slightly. My nurse started walking over to the table and I became confused.

"Zayn, you have a visitor" He told me.

"Who" I asked, my mum and sister aren't supposed to be coming until next week.

"Your father"

And just like that my blood boiled like fresh lava rolling down a volcano.
