Bruce POV

After what happened in the room I felt like I have a connection with him. I felt like I had to protect him. I felt like somebody with a purpose, a responsibility, and this responsibility is Percy Achilles Jackson.

I wanted to see where he will be staying after getting out of the hospital and to be honest I am quite worried for him.

I went to the main desk and asked for his files. But when I read it I saw that he had no more relatives aside from his father who is lost in the sea and a legal guardian aside from Gabe Ugliano. Whom I will not give him to from what I have seen.

So he will have to be brought to the orphanage where he will be staying until someone wants to adopt him.

I actually felt happy that I can adopt him. But I don't want to be the one to tell him the truth. But I was responsible for him.

I went to tell him what is going to happen and entered his room.

I was surprised at what I saw he was just starting at the wall.

Percy POV

I was just staring at the plain white room when Bruce came in and told me about going to an orphanage.

I could not think and process what he said. I don't want to be hurt again. I don't want to change from one house to another.

I just want a normal life with a family.

When he told me that all I could imagine was that I won't have a permanent home. I will be hurt again.

After what he said he was about to leave, but I said "please don't leave me like the others did."

The only person I can trust now is Bruce. I felt a connection to him, something I usually feel for my mom. I felt like he was my father figure on how he comforted me and did many things for me. He even got the courage to tell me the truth even if I am young.

He was silent for a minute.

"I will stay with you I promise" he said

That's when I finally showed a genuine smile.
