Leah was walking around outside.
She sighed loudly and took a glance at the large castle behind her, exhaling and tightening her grip on the backpack straps. She grinned to the side and looked away, turning her back to it.
She walked and walked further away from the castle, not looking back. She was done with the mountains, and she was ready to take on the rest of the world.
"Time for some food," she murmured to herself and opened her bag while it was still perched on her back. She snuck out a brownie that had been in her bag from who the hell knows how long and ate it anyway.
She heard a buzzing from the sky and glanced up in order to track the noise.
She felt herself losing balance, and she saw what looked like a dark object shine red lights down at her from the sky. It whizzed at her and made strange laser-like noises, which reminded her of her early teenage years.
---
We all know that the high school years had to come about sometime during this time. Life was especially hard for young Arty, who was the temporarily male form of Leah. Sometimes, all he/she could do was just sit down at the lunch table with his/her best friend Ron. Ron referred to Arty as Harry.
Arty was experiencing a time where he did not understand love, men, or women. He wanted to know, but started to become more interested in men.
Ron tried to help his confused friend but nothing helped.
"'Arry, do you want to get a dress?" Ron asked cautiously as the brunette fed himself ice cream and cried angrily.
"No, Ron, I'm not a transgender! Just let me eat my fucking Cheetos!"
With that outburst, Ron teared up and ran up the flight of stairs and fell on his bed, crying as the brunette continued eating his fourth box of ice cream.
----
Ron looked at a picture of his best friend, how would he be able to tell him how he truly felt.
The door swung open and Harry was standing there.
Ron's eyes widened.
"What is it, Harry?"
Ron froze as the brunette held up a note Ron had wrote to Harry. Harry began to tear up.
"D-did you write this?" he asked.
Ron began to cry as well.
"Yes, Harry."
Harry ran up to Ron and wrapped his arms around him.
Harry whispered into his ear.
"I love you, too, Ron."
Ron looked into Harry's eyes.
"You do?"
Harry leaned into Ron's face and whispered.
"I'm not gay, you stupid cunt."
---
As Ron looked at Harry's house, he saw the front window curtains draw back, and Harry was looking out. When Harry noticed him, he smiled and waved, then scurried over to answer the door. Ron walked up the porch steps.
Before he could knock, Harry opened the door and practically pulled him in.
"Ron! Why are you here? Aren't you going to spend Valentine's day with Heromine?" Harry noticed the flowers and pointed at them. "Are those for Hominy? They're beautiful! She'll love them!"
"Ah.. Um, no," Ron stuttered. "These are for you."
Harry was astonished. "Ron... What are you trying to say?"
"I'm trying to say that I-I have really liked you for a while now and-"
"But, but Herobrine..."
"I may even have more feelings than 'like' and-"
"Won't she be sad?"
"I think I love you," Ron finished.
Harry opened his mouth as to say something, but quickly shut it. He studied the bouquet closer and took it out of Ron's hands hesitantly.
"Ron, I'm flattered. I really am, but I have to ask about-"
"I left Hermine," Ron stared down at the floorboards, twiddling his thumbs.
"Wh- Why would you leave her? You two were so happy together. Well, at least it seemed like it."
Ron looked up at Harry, staring into his eyes.
"I left Herman for you." Ron stepped closer to Harry, grabbing the flowers and setting it down somewhere nearby before Ron took hold of Harry's hands before he could protest.
"I had a feeling I could be happier with you. I don't know if you even like me. I don't know if you even like men, but I do know that every time I look at you and every time I hear your voice and that beautiful laughter, that I'm hopelessly in love with my friend."
Silence overwhelmed them both, and Arty felt the need to say something. He didn't know how to socially interact, especially with this boy that was basically showing affection and attraction to him.
"Jeez.."
"What, 'Arry?"
"I really hate you sometimes, Ron."
----
Leah snapped out of her flashback and looked around at the green grasses of the forest. She sighed loudly and raised her brow, thinking intently.
She didn't even know why the hell that reminded her of her childhood.
----
Leah looked up at the bright red lights in the sky, noticing a black triangle-like shape spinning down to her. Her eyes widened and felt her skin crawl, a scream emerging from her.
"W-what the hell?!" she exclaimed as she was abducted into the wide ship.
Everything went black.
