Aiight so boom. It's been a minute and I hate that it's been this long. I had half the chapter written and then my family situation took a tailspin for the worst and I was without a laptop charger for over 3 weeks. I wanted to make this extra good so I waited a few days after that to think some more and here it is. Also, the book is most likely going to end at 50 chapters so we're almost halfway there. The story is going to go into it's second part pretty much at the halfway mark so-SHIT IS GETTING REAL.

Enjoy!!!!

...

No one made a sound. No one moved, looked at each other, or took a breath.

Delilah's tears were still in the wind, and Gunzs' rigid facial expression hadn't softened. Of course, Kina was the first to speak.

"Do y'all see this shit! Is this Cita?! Where the fuck is she, Smokey?!"

Smokey, who had been standing when the picture first came through, had sunken into his seat and was still looking down. His phone was on the table, the only one still displaying the picture of Cita and her wide, horrified stare.

"Y'all calm down," Rocky ordered before anything else could be said. He knew Gunzs' family. If it was one thing they didn't play about, it was a threat to their family. Even though they didn't openly fuck with Cita that hard, it was obvious Smokey loved her so she was family. Rocky had seen what happened to people that came against their family, and he wasn't trying to bring that carnage to the sunny beaches of Carolina.

"Calm down?" Gunz growled, so pissed off he could barely speak. Delilah was all the way out of fucking control and now some sour ass beach town gang thought they could play with him. He questioned if Cita was even the target. In the business he was in, if one person started to dissapear, there was no guarantee another would follow. As far as he was concerned, they could've tried Delilah like that and he quickly came to the conclusion that meant they had to meet death.

"We can't fuck up these people lil town, G. You need to use yo' head!" Rocky snapped, coming closer to Gunz. Smokey kept his head down, not making a sound.

"Your soft ass need to get the fuck away from me before some shit happen we can't take back," Gunz said with a hard glint in his eye. Rocky was the brother he never had in the twins or Lake, but what he wasn't about to do was let no nigga think they could run up on him and not get lit up.

Rocky glared at him back. Kina grabbed her hair anxiously as Rocky took one step closer to him.

"Y'all," Smiley slurred, his drunken mind finally registering Cita was the girl in the picture. "We got to go get this hoe!"

"I would never do anything flakey to you, Gunz. I ride for you like you ride for me. One day your paranoid, caveman ass mind gon see that shit and maybe then you'll stop thinking everything I say negative to you is a challenge." Rocky stared him straight in the eye, neither one of them blinking as he spoke.

"Somebody go get Delilah. We can meet up in me and Rocky's room and figure out what the hell is going on. Wani, get your clawfoot tub built ass on. I don't care where you trot along on all fours to but it has to be the fuck away from here." Kina clapped her hands. Rocky and Gunz were still staring each other down. "Baby?"

Gunz was the first to break the tension filled silence. "A threat to this family is something I'm not tolerating. Period."

Rocky nodded. "You know it's all the way up with me, G. We ain't taking no prisoners." That was all they needed to say to each other, apparently. Gunz held his hand out and Rocky dapped him, bringing him into one of those nigga hugs.
