Chapter 15 Finding a new home

Diego pov

I treated Sapphire bullet wound as we made it to top. She refuse to cry or scream in pain as I remove the bullet. Everyone else were treating the wounded while the alphas talk about our new plans. I excepted the position as beta so I will to talk to them later.

"K love I got it out but this us going to sting a little."

I put some rubbing alcohol on her wound and in she hiss in pain. She is strong, I wrap her shoulder and kissed it. Everyone was pack up and ready to go, we walk down the other side of the mountain. Sapphire was on my back with Akira and Akin shielding them from the cold with her cloak.

"Daddy where are we going?"

"I don't know yet buddy but we're going to be strong till we find place okay?"

"Yes daddy. "

3 hours later we made it down the mountain into the desert. I took a breathe and started walking. Sapphire walk beside me as the boys sleep. Thank god we had plenty of water.

The sun was shining on us as we kept on walking its been 2 days and were still no where to live. Sapphire and the other wiccan had to treat some of the wolfs and humans from heat strokes. The pups were ok but scared if what's to come.

Day 5 rolled around and we found the ocean. Everyone ran towards it to cool off for a few minutes. I got on a cliff to looked around to see if there was a city or a island. I spotted a small town about 30 mile from hear and a untouched forest beside it.

"Leo get up here!"

Leo left Gabriela with Sapphire, Akira and Akin to clean up. He ran up the cliff beside me.

"There. A town and a forest. "

"Nice work beta."

I rolled my eyes and ran down with him to the pack the great news.

"Everyone! Diego and i found a town about 30 mile from here with a forest beside it. Their shall be our new pack and new home. If we leave now we can make it by sun down today."

Everyone cheered and howled in excitement. Sapphire and Gabriela ran up next to us hugging our wolfs.

I notice Kelly in the back of the pack relived but angry about something. I shook it off and led the way to our new home.

Gabriela, Sapphire and Akira were fast asleep on our backs as Akin stayed up wait to get to our home.

"Are we there yet?"

"Not yet buddy "

"Are we there now?"

"Not yet."

"How about now?"

"Why Dont you get some sleep with mommy and Akira so you'll have energy when its time to work on the house ok?"

"Ok daddy."

Leo laughs at me as Akin falls asleep finally.

"Like father like son right Diego?"

I gave him a small glare.

"Come on you were just like him with dad and us when you were little. You always wanted to prove you were stronger then us and you did."

I snickered at him for being right. When we made it to the middle of the forest I sat my family down and cuddle them to keep them warm for tonight. Everyone did the same thing with there mates and pups. Ruby snuggled with Joey and Oscar ecepting him as her mate finally.
Kelly fell asleep next to my brothers John, Jason, D.J., Lucas and Kevin, along with the other unmated wolfs. Sapphire cuddle into my fur causing me to purr a little. I shut my eyes and dream about her.

When I woke up, Akira and Akin were playing with the other pups in a open field. The wiccan were watching the play as the some of the wolfs went hunting. Some started building our new home as soon as they woke up I got up kiss my loving mate before going to help the others. They showed me the blueprint Jessica drew up 2 days ago so that the whole pack can fit. It will take a few days but it will be worth it. Our family will be safe here and I'm going to make sure of it.
