Lit cigarette

Shoto stood there with a lit cigarette in his mouth, between his fingers. The moonlight illuminated his face and made his soft white hair glow and revealed the orange highlights on his red side it made Izuku's heart thump and a lump formed in his throat.

"I didn't know you smoked." Shoto smiled, flicked the cigarette onto the grass and snuffed it out with his shoe.

"It's a bad habit I got from my father. Don't start." He knew that the boy's father was a CEO of a multi-million dollar company, and expected Shoto to take it over, his family was very rich. They didn't have a good relationship, Shoto had claimed.

Izuku was still shaking. Shoto had noticed and his eyebrows creased and his mouth fell into a frown. He took of his black trench coat and wrapped it around the small boy. He smiled in appreciation. The coat smelt like cigarettes and it smelt musty. The stood there together in uncomfortable silence for a few minutes before Izuku spoke.
"I must've worried Katsuki." He turned and held his hand out to Shoto for him to take, "come in with me." He took the hand and was led back into the house. Shoto' face burned as he was holding his crush's hand. Everyone thought he was so cool and suave, but he blushed like a school girl while thinking about his crush. But he probably liked Katsuki. That made him sad to think that someone as amazing as Izuku deserved someone perfect but he probably liked the explosive jerk that bullied him. He swore to himself that he would punch anyone who dared to hurt the fragile boy. Reputation be damned.

Izuku and Shoto walked around the house looking for Katsuki and politely mingling, even though they barely knew anyone. They couldn't find him, and no one knew where he was. About to give up, they moved towards the door when they heard a low wail a few rooms away.
"That sounded like Kacchan!" Izuku listened in to the room and slowly opened the door to reveal a bathroom. On the floor with his back against the bathtub was Katsuki, cradling a rather large bottle. And crying. He was wasted.
"Shochan, can you give me a hand? We should get him to a bedroom." In one swoop, Shoto picked up Katsuki and he struggled weakly then went limp.

"This is Kirishima's house. I'll get him to a bedroom and ask if it's okay for him to stay the night." He started to walk up the stairs and Izuku followed him.

"I'll stay with Kacchan until he falls asleep."

"Midoriya, you should-"

"I insist." Shoto sighed but didn't object. Out loud, at least. He lay Katsuki on the bed, gave Midoriya a small nod and went back downstairs.

Katsuki and Izuku were together. Alone.
"Are you okay, Kacchan?" He wiped Katsuki's tears away from his cheeks. When he got no reply, he got up to leave, assuming the other was asleep, but he felt a hand reach out and grab his and heard a quiet voice.

"Stay. Please."

So, that's how Izuku ended up sleeping in the same bed as his childhood best friend/bully/famous drummer Katsuki Bakugou. He was looking directly at his sleeping face with his body covered by his arms. They were practically cuddling. He was trapped. Although he couldn't say he didn't enjoy it. As well as being his childhood best friend and bully, he had been his crush and first love. He still had feelings for him but they were more complicated. Plus, he liked Shoto and he was pretty sure he liked him back. But Katsuki had that cool band member, bad boy vibe. His blonde hair stuck in every direction and glinted gold when the sun hit it in a certain way, and his crimson eyes struck through him. And on the rare occasion he turned the scowl into a smile, it was the kind of pure happiness everyone strived to achieve.

And then it struck him.

Uh oh.

He liked them both.

His heart fluttered and Katsuki's touch suddenly burned. And then he heard the door open.

"Katsuki, my dude, are you-" it was Kirishima and Kaminari.

"Take a picture before he wakes up! He is going to be so pissed!" Kirishima took out his phone at that request and took a couple of pictures, much to Izuku's dismay. Kaminari perched himself on the edge of the bed and gave Izuku an exasperated smile.

"He may not show it, but he really does care about you. He was blabbering about you when he was drunk. And I mean really drunk, hammered, even."

"I understand, Kaminari."

"So, anyway," Kirishima cut in, "he was talking about how he was upset about making you feel uncomfortable, he even broke a lamp."

"And two plates!" Kaminari helpfully added.

"Yeah- Katsuki may have a tough outer shell, but inside he's just a fragile, angry, bratty child. No offence Baku-bro," he patted the shape of Katsuki's leg under the covers, "he doesn't open up much, but on the few occasions that he does, it's about you. He was ecstatic to see you again, and practically begged us to relocate here. He always thought about you, even before you two met again, when you were small; you two obviously had a strong relationship for him to still have you on his mind after all those years. He keeps a picture of you two in his wallet and puts it in his pocket before shows for good luck. Bit creepy if you ask me," he chuckled slightly, "He doesn't mean to make you sad, heck, he doesn't even mean the nicknames or insults. Don't hurt him, 'kay, 'Deku'?"

"I won't, thank you, Kirishima, Kaminari." Izuku beamed that special, radiant smile he has at them in uncontainable joy that he possessed at that moment. He thought about Katsuki too; this morning was a prime example.

Next to him, the explosive teen stirred and groaned quietly.

"Well, we'll leave you two. Stay overnight if you want, Izuku, it's getting late. Come on, Kaminari, time to kick everyone out."

"Tell Todoroki I said goodbye!" Izuku managed to squeak out before the door shut.

Suddenly, they were alone again. The silence wafted lazily around him, comfortably. The bed was so warm, and it was so nice. He caught the familiar scent of Katsuki; bonfires and pine needles. Like forests, like camping, like lazy weekends they so often had down by the river. The way the twilight pushed through the trees and painted itself onto the still water as they sat with the cuffs of their jeans rolled up and their feet dangled in the water. Away from school, away from home, away from the social pressure between nerds and bullies which made Katsuki act the way he did, and say the things he said.

He felt himself slip into a comfortable unconsciousness as his mind was still buzzing with memories and scenes he remembered viewing with Katsuki.
