Sunlight poured through the window creating shards of light. The curtains hadn't been drawn the night before. The bed felt oddly empty to Izuku as he woke up that morning. He opened his eyes to see a lack of Katsuki. He sighed. He knew he shouldn't have expected him to stay but there was a deep-down hope that he would. It was sad, really. Izuku basically depended on him since yesterday. It was pathetic. Suddenly, he had the overwhelming urge not to get out of bed, despite the fact he had a shift in a few hours.

Then, unexpectedly, the door opened to show Katsuki, humming with a plate in his hand. He opened his eyes and looked at him. They both froze.

"You're awake." He said, not as a question, but a surprised statement.

"You made breakfast?" Izuku asked. Katski half smirked and gave him the warm plate.

"You bet I did- it's the best breakfast you will ever eat!"

"Thank you," the smile that the boy gave him made Katsuki's heart explode, "I've got work in a couple of hours. I'll call Shoucchan for a lift." His face then soured.

"Oh." That's all he could manage to say. He couldn't lose this moment, he needed to talk to the boy who was eating breakfast, "look, Izuku we need to-"

"Can this wait, Kacchan? I need to get ready for work." And with that, Izuku was out of the door of the bedroom and was in the bathroom.

An hour later, Izuku was downstairs on his phone, now was the perfect time for Katsuki to strike. The took a deep breath and-

There was a knock on the door.

Kirishima let who was there in and informed them that Izuku was in the living room. "Hi, Shochan!"

"Hello, Izuku. Oh, and Bakugou."

"Huh? Oops! Heya Kacchan! I didn't see you there!" The boy seemed different from this morning, he had cheered up a bit. This morning he just brushed him off.

"Izuku, can we talk?" Izuku got off the couch.

"I've really got to go to-" Katsuki took his hands into his own and looked into his gorgeous green eyes. The bright colours of the room turned into soft hues that blurred around the edges of his view. He was focused on Izuku and only Izuku. He was going to do it, after all these years. He took a moment to appreciate his beauty. The green hair that was fantastically messy and so soft. How big and doughy his eyes were and how his button nose scrunched up. The freckles that haphazardly dotted his rosy cheeks that were now burning ruby red.

"I love you, Izuku Midoriya."

Everyone's jaws dropped. Except for Kirishima's of course. He knew this was coming, and he couldn't stop smiling. He excused himself from the room, as to not make things awkward. Things were awkward anyway.

Shoto couldn't remember the last time he was this angry. Or this emotional, in fact. At this moment the fiery, burning passion with which he hated Katsuki Bakugou burnt through his cold exterior. A surge of anger melted his face into a face of pure rage. He was shaking, and his hands both curled into a fist.

Izuku Midoriya was stuck. He couldn't run from this like he had with his feelings for Katsuki when they were young. Here's his situation: he's just been asked out by his crush while his other crush is standing in the doorway with an expression of jealousy and wrath. He really couldn't make heads or tails of it. He started shaking. He couldn't stop the tears from spilling. At first they were just that: tears rolling down his cheek, and then they were tears, and then full on cries. He was so conflicted.
"I-I'm sorry Kacchan!" He managed to say between hiccups.
Todoroki pulled him into a gentle, but firm hug, when Katsuki let go of his hands. Katsuki was in heartbroken shock. He was rejected. He made him cry again. It's happened time and time again but this time he didn't push him, he didn't hurt him, he didn't even insult him or scowl at him. He was such a jerk. It hurt his heart and it hurt so very badly.

"You made him cry, asshole." Said Shoto. That made Izuku upset. He didn't want them to bicker because it was no ones fault but his own. So, he pushed Shoto away and stared at the ground solemnly. After a few moments, he walked out of the house, to work.

They had both fucked up.
