That night, Katsuki and Shoto made a joint effort for dinner as both of them were amazing at cooking. They'd eaten and had a bit to drink afterwards. They talked, they smiled, they laughed, just like a normal family meal. It was all so domestic. After they had changed and gotten ready to sleep, they'd all climbed into Katsuki's bed. Admittedly it was a squeeze (especially with Max on the foot of the bed) but it was cozy. As the shortest, Izuku was put in the middle, with his legs bent to give Max some room. On his left was Shoto, who he was facing with his hands on his chest. On his right, was Katsuki who wrapped his arms around his waist from the back. The red and white boy had borrowed a worn down pair of sweatpants to sleep in, the small boy was wearing some shorts and one of Katsuki's shirts that was way too big for him, and the blond was only wearing his boxers. He insisted that he slept naked but they made him compromise and at least wear his underwear, which he protested to, but eventually agreed (thanks to Izuku's famous puppy eyes)."Goodnight Kacchan, Shochan!"
"Goodnight and sweet dreams Bunny. Oh, and you too Katsuki."
"Will both of you nerds be quiet? I'm trying to sleep." The explosive boy said with his groggy voice, muffled by the art student's curls.
The next afternoon, the three boys devised a plan. They were going to go to Shoto's house while his father was at work to pick up his stuff so he can temporarily move in with Katsuki and get away from his father.
"Can you pick up my bag while you're there? I left it at the house." Izuku asked.
"Why don't you get it yourself? You're coming too!" Katsuki objected.
"Actually, I was going to use the time you're out to paint the wall!" He smiled brightly while his blond boyfriend grumbled in response. "Also, be careful with my bag! It's got important stuff in it!"
"What could be so fragile yet you keep it in your bag?" Shoto questioned.
"It's not fragile, per se. It's my sketchbook, it's very dear to me, Shoucchan!"
"Very well. We will get your belongings for you."
"It sounded like there should of been a 'Lord Midoriya' on the end of the sentence. Geez, loosen up on the language, Sho'" Shoto just rolled his eyes at his explosive boyfriend and headed out the door after a quick goodbye the Izuku. "Hey! Wait for me, nerd!" Katsuki demanded before storming after him with the same goodbye to the green boy.
The drive there was just like normal between them. Despite how it looks to a bystander, they got on very well. They had that spark that ignited some very interesting conversation and the rare joke from Shoto. He didn't make jokes around anyone apart from his boyfriends, and to them he was grateful for melting through his cold exterior right to his heart.
"So, let's just grab what you need and go. If we run into your old man, there'll be trouble."
Shoto hummed in agreement, "yes, he is not one to be defied."
"No, I meant trouble for him." Shoto laughed at that, his blond boyfriend sure knew how to make him feel safe. Happy. In love.
When they arrived, it went smoothly. No interruptions from his father, just the peaceful silence of his house. He used to find the silence unbearable, but to know he was getting out of there and not looking back was comforting.
Katsuki and Shoto chatted and laughed. They listened to music and danced (there was even a couple Disney songs and Shoto, surprisingly knew all the words to every song in 'The Little Mermaid'. Katsuki was both impressed and horrified). For such an ugly, upsetting task, they had a great afternoon and had more fun in 45 minuets than Shoto had ever had in his entire life living in that house.
They gathered all that he needed (clothes, toiletries, keepsakes, etc.) in a couple of suitcases and were about to leave. They'd put the suitcases in the trunk and had decided to finish off the coffee as one last 'Fuck you' to the house owner. They left the dirty cups and a note on the counters (that Izuku loved so much) and stood up to leave, then Shoto remembered Izuku's request.
"I'll be back in a minute, Katsuki, I've got to go grab Izuku's bag."
"Okay, I'll wait in the car. And, Shoto?"
"Yeah?"
"Well done on loosening up on the language!" The multi-coloured boy smiled and they parted ways and as Shoto was searching the dining room the doorbell rung. At first he panicked and then calmed himself down by be rational, and realising if it was his father, he would of barged in. He has his keys, after all, it was probably a mailman, or-
It was Toshinori Yagi
His precious boyfriend's idol.
