Chapter 13
Chad’s POV
I waited till Andy drove off, and walked inside.
“DAD!” I yelled as I ran in the house looking for them “MOM!”
“WHAT” they said they were in the kitchen drinking coffee. I sat down with them and told them what Andy had seen.
“I told you she was lying” I said.
“But we still don’t know for sure, we have wait and see” said dad with a smile.
“Have you ever asked her what she does when you don’t have practice?” Asked mom
“No” I answered.
“Ask her what she did” said Dad.
“I’ll call her”
“That’ll make her happy” said Dad with a smile.
“Yeah” I agreed. More than once she had complained to me that I never called her. She even saved her number on my phone.
“Why don’t you wait tomorrow to ask her instead?”
“Your right, I’m tired and I don’t want to deal with her right now” I agreed. “I’m going to sleep now” I said as I kissed my mom on the check. “Good night”
“Good night, honey” she said.
“Night dad” I said.
“Night” I walked to my room. I was happy that there was a possibility that I wouldn’t be tied down to Victoria.
Next morning I got ready and drove to school. I got out of the car and walked to the building looking for Victoria.
“Hey have you seen Victoria?” I asked one of the other Cheerleaders. She smiled at me, she seemed nice compared to the other’s that I’ve met.
“Hey, Chad” she said with a smile “She’s in the gym with the other cheerleaders”
“Ok, thanks” I said.
“Anything you need” she said while playing with a strand of hair. I was wrong she was just like the other cheerleaders. I left and walked to the gym. It looked like the others were practicing for something. Before anyone saw me, I hid behind the bleachers. From where I was hiding I could still see them. I waited till they were done and only Victoria was left. I came out from behind the bleaches and walked up to her, her back was turned to me.
“Hey” I said faking a smile.
“Chad, what are you doing here?” she asked in a nervous voice.
“I was looking for you”
“Well what do you want” she said as she put her hand on her stomach.
“Where you just doing those tricks?” I asked. Acting like I hadn’t seen her doing them.
“O o of course not” she said with a small smile. “What did you need?” she said changing the subject
“Umm. My mom said we should go see a doctor, give you the medicine you need for the baby and make sure everything is fine” I said again faking a huge smile on my face.
“Ummm.. yeah, Uh I already went and they gave me the vitamins.”
“When’s your next appointment?” I asked playing along
“I don’t know I forgot”
“What’s the doctors’ name. I’ll call and ask” I said.
“NO!” she said scared “I don’t remember the doctor’s name”
