Chapter 16

We spent thanksgiving at a restaurant and later went out to the movies. After that we went to the spot where we made up. Yes, the creepy looking one with no else but just us. Thankfully I had one of my jackets in Chad’s car. He got it out for me and wrapped it around me. We walked to the front of the car and sat down. Chad put his arm around me and we just sat there cuddled next to each other.

“Congratulations by the way” he said

“For what?” I asked I had no idea what he was talking about.

“You’re graduating early” he said looking down at me

“Oh that, thanks” I said with a smile. We went back to silence for a while, just looking at the beautiful view.

“What are your plans after graduation?” I asked.

“Go to college and become a doctor”

“A doctor” I said and couldn’t help but laugh, he laughed too.

“I know” he said with a smile.

“Sorry, I’m not being mean but you a pediatrician. The guy I met at the beginning of the school year, is that still you?” I asked.

“I know, I know” he said with a smile. “See how you’ve changed me a year ago I had no idea what I wanted to do. You’ve helped me see a different side of me”

“You’ll be an awesome doctor” I said with a smile.

“Thanks, what about you?” he asked.

“Me” I said with a sigh “I don’t know yet, I mean I love art but I also want to help others in need”

“You remind me of my mom, always looking out for others” he said with a smile.

“I want to help kids with disabilities using art”

“I’m proud of you” he said with a smile.

“Thanks”

“What do your friends back home think about you graduating early?”

“I haven’t told them”

“Have you even talked to them?”

“No, the last time I talked to Mark was when we were all hanging out at Asher’s house”

“Yeah, I remember that was a while ago what about Kristen has she called you?”

“No, Last time Mark told me she was going out with this guy. We haven’t talked in forever”

“Well sometimes your best friends aren’t really your best friends” he said with a smile.

“True” I agreed. “But who needs them anyway”

“Yeah, we’re better off without them”

“Yes” I said.

“We should go, it’s late”

“Yeah, or else Charley is going to think we’re doing something else” I said with a smile.

“Yeah” he said with a smile.
