"But Jack..." I whined to my brother Jack Avery.

"No but's, you are meeting them. They are a big part of my life and so are you," He said, looking at me with a sad expression on his face.

"Fine," I sniffled, still a bit sick from the cold I had for the past week.

"Yay! Now, don't get anyone sick," He said before he started to walk to the car. As I was walking to the car, I remembered that I would finally meet Jacks friend, Zach.

Daniel and I had met and spoken before, we were actually really close, best friends, but I had never met any of the other boys, and being sick and looking terrible wouldn't be the best.

We finally made it to the house he shared with his band members, and we headed inside. I took a look around the entrance and gosh was it beautiful. I stood amazed in the door way, before I heard someone yell my name.

"Miranda!" I heard as Daniel came racing towards me.

"Dani boy," I said as we wrapped our arms around each other.

"Glad to see my best friend again," He said, finally pulling away from the hug. Daniel finally led me to the rest of the boys, with Jack following behind to make sure nothing happened.

Jack was a paranoid and overprotective brother. He never listens to me when I say we are just friends. But, personally, Jack doesn't have to worry about Daniel and I, but he may for Zach and I.

Since Jack showed me funny videos of all the boys, I couldn't get over Zach. He was funny and carefree, and might I add, pretty damn cute. Unfortunately, Daniel knew about my small crush on Zach and I knew he was about to use it for his advantage.

"So Zach, this is Miranda," Daniel said, pushing me towards Zach, not before trying to mention that Zach liked me too.

"H-hi," I said, staring at him.

"H-hey," He stuttered back, staring back at me.

"Well, I'm gonna just... go," Daniel said before leaving the room, leaving Zach and I alone.

"Well, you wanna go out and do something?" He asked, placing his hand at the back of his head.

"Sure," I smiled.

"This would be the time where a girl would usually kiss the guy or at least kiss him on the cheek..." He whispered, trying to get me to give him a kiss.

"First of all, didn't know that this was a date, but I'm not mad. Second, Jack is my brother so I don't know what will happen. Lastly, I am sick," I said pouting.

"Awe Miranda, forget going out to eat, I'll order something."

"Zach, no, I wanna go out," I said between sniffles that had all of a sudden gotten worse.

"Join me, sit," He demanded. He wrapped one arm around me and I placed my head on his shoulder.

"What are you two doing??" We heard Jack say. All of a sudden, Daniel came out of no where, smiled and dragged Jack back into another room.

"I'm guessing Daniel told you I liked you?" Zach questioned, after the boys left the room. I nodded my head.

"Same for you?" I asked, him doing the same thing I did when answering his question.

"Well then, we can skip the awkward 'do you Iike me' stage and start the dating stage," He said, leaning closer to me.

As he leaned closer, I coughed into my elbow and we leaned back laughing.
