"Hah! I won!" I heard Jack yell from beside me.

"You may have won, but I was going easy on you," I said, getting up off the couch and grabbing a packet of chips. I opened the packet and sat back down, staring at Jack who was still confused

"Yeah right, you know I'm better than you," He said, his confused expression turning smug.

"Oh please! I could beat you any day of the week," I said, devishly smiling at the boy who was now gobsmacked.

"Wanna bet?" He asked, smirking and turning towards the tv infront of us.

"You bet I do!" I yelled dramatically. "If I win, you give me $20," I said, smiling as I needed that $20.

"And if I win, you go on a date with me," He said, seriously. I looked at him, my turn to be gobsmacked. Well, it didnt cost me $20 so I was fine with it.

"Sure," I said, turning as I felt myself light up like a christmas tree.

Jack pressed the start button on the game, and we both tried our best to beat the other. Unfortunately for him, I won.

"HELL YEAH!" I screamed, jumping up and down on the couch we both were sat on. All of a sudden, I felt a body tackle me mid air and we both landed on the couch with a thud.

"OWWWWW!" I screamed, looking up at the human, or thing, that tackled me. I saw Jack, yep, definitely a thing. "Oi thing! Get off me!" I yelled dramtically, trying my hardest to push him off.

"No, I like being on top of you," He said, immediately going wide eyed.

"Jack Avery, are you flirting with me?" I asked. As soon as I asked that, he got up and walked to the kitchen. I followed him and watched as he got $20 out from his wallet.

"Here is your $20," He said as he slowly backed away. He was pink from blushing, which was adorable.

"Jack, do you like me?" I asked him, slowly walking towards him.

"Pshhhh, no I dont," He said turning now and swiftly headed up the stairs. I ran after him and before he could shut the door that lead to his room, I put my hand in and opened it enough for me to slide through.

"Jack, talk to me," I said, sitting on the end of his bed. "Please, we have known each other for ages and-"

"Thats it! Thats why I dont want to say I like you! I have known you for years and wouldnt it be weird? I like you then okay?" I giggled at his outbreak as he stood there, red and out of breath.

"You know, that date doesnt sound half as bad now that I think about it," I said, smiling at the boy who I had liked for some time now. "Ill give you this $20 back, but it has to go towards the date okay?" I said, him agreeing with me.

"So, about this date," He said. Oh no, what did I get myself into!
