"Hey Zach," I said to my music tutor.
"Hey Salma," He said, giving me a hug. "So, what song we learning this week?" He asked me.
"I'm not sure," I said, looking at him.
"Well, you are doing exceptionally well, so why not write something?" He asked.
"That sounds like a lot of fun!" I exclaimed, smiling up at him. He looked at me and smiled. I looked away and grabbed my guitar and he grabbed his as well. I sat next to him and we started to muck around with chords and tempo. We finally settled on something and I started humming. I then figured some lyrics that may work.
"I don't know if this will work but it may..." I eluded on, trying to not make him expect anything amazing.
"Just try, it doesn't matter if it is amazing." I sang him the words and his mouth opened slightly.
"What? Was it bad? Was my singing bad? I am sorry," I rambled on before I felt a hand on top of mine. I looked up at Zach and he smiled at me.
"That was really good and you never told me you could sing," He said, still smiling.
"I have never been told I can sing before," I said truthfully.
"Well, your voice is beautiful."
"So is yours," I admitted. I quickly covered my mouth. He wasn't meant to know that I had stalked him and found multiple videos of him and his band singing.
"I am guessing you saw my band?" He questioned me. I nodded shyly and he laughed quietly. "I knew this would happen one day," He said whilst continuing to laugh.
I looked at him with a questioning expression.
"I knew someone would eventually find my band."
"Oh," I said, nodding my head.
"Well, anyway, let's get back to writing this song.
Within 40 minutes, we had finished a song with choruses and verses. Once we had written the last words, I hugged Zach. He wrapped his arm around me and we started to laugh at nothing.
"I am so glad we wrote that," Zach said, smiling at our creation. "You mind if I perform it to my band and see how they like it?" He asked. I looked at him with wide eyes, showing I was in shock.
"You want to show the song that we wrote together?" I asked, unsure if I heard him correctly.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I. It is an amazing song that an amazing girl wrote," He said, smiling in my direction. I looked at the ground and I felt his hand connect with my chin. He pushed my chin up and made me look at him. I looked up into his beautiful brown eyes, but his eyes were on my lips. I could see him leaning in, so I closed the distance he didn't make. We stood there, kissing for around 2 minutes, before we both pulled away, realising what we had done.
"Um," Zach said, staring at me. I looked at him and started to silently laugh. He looked at me with a confused expression.
"It isn't too bad what we did, we are both the same age," I edged on, trying to make him say something. He eventually smiled and opened his mouth to ask me something.
"Would you like to go out sometime?"
"I would love to," I said, smiling up at him.
"Now, just because we are going to go out, doesn't mean you should expect free guitar lessons," He said whilst laughing.
"I think I deserve them," I said, laughing at him.
"No you don't," He said, placing his lips back on mine. I giggled into the kiss and he pulled away.
"Now, back to that song..."
