Carnival//Jonah

I heard my doorbell ring, a sign that Jonah had arrived for our very first date. I excitedly ran down the stairs to see Jonah standing at my door with a big bouquet of flowers. 

"Awe Jonah, you shouldn't have," I said, taking the flowers out of his hand.

"Yes I did, beautiful flowers for a beautiful girl," He said whilst smiling. I placed a kiss on his cheek and grabbed an empty vase. I put water and the flowers in and turned to Jonah to see him awkwardly standing by the door. I eventually walked over to him, him placing his arm around my waist.

"You could have come in you know," I said, smiling up at him. He nodded his head and lead me to his car. He dropped his arm from my side and jogged to the passenger door and opened it. I walked around and placed a kiss on his cheek, soon sliding into the car. He jogged to his side and eventually started the car up. 

"So, where are we going?" I asked. He specifically told me to wear something casual and it was around the middle of the day.

"You'll see," He said, smirking in my direction. I huffed and folded my arms, showing I was annoyed. He slowly laughed and turned towards the road. 

After many minutes, we eventually arrived at what looked like a carnival.

"A carnival?" I asked, smiling towards Jonah. He nodded and quickly got out his side. Before I could even try, he was at my side opening the door for me. 

"Thank you kind sir," I said once getting out, curtsying towards him. He laughed at my craziness and grabbed my hand. 

We eventually walked inside and saw the amazing amount of rides and different games with lots and lots of prizes. Oh and I forgot to mention, FOOD! I grabbed Jonah's hand and lead him towards a rollercoaster that didn't look too scary.

"You sure about this?" Jonah asked. I nodded my head and we waited in line.

We eventually got to the start of the line and got onto the rollercoaster. The whole time I was clutching onto Jonah's arm while I buried my head into his chest. He laughed at my expression as I waited for the ride to be over.

We walked off the rollercoaster holding hands and him still laughing at me. I glared at him and took my hand away, which he grabbed again straight away. I looked at our hands intertwined and I smiled up at him. He smiled back and placed a soft kiss on my cheek. I blushed from the contact and we walked over to the games. 

There was a basketball one, which Jonah said he was going to do very well at. Well, he didn't, but he ended up winning a small fluffy teddy bear that he gave to me. I wrapped my arm around his arm, nuzzling my head into his side. 

He tried another game, a ring toss, which he was really good at. He won a really big stuffed monkey, which he then gave to me. I gave him back the teddy bear so he would have something to remember today. 

We eventually went to grab some food, which consisted of hot dogs and donuts. We ate them whilst he asked me questions, as we were still getting to know each other. Once we finished, we ended our day with the Ferris wheel. Once the line had finally shortened up, we got on the tall circular ride. We sat side by side, enjoying the view over the city. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I placed my back onto his chest. 

We did eventually have to get off the ride, which we then said would have to be the end. We drove back to my house, my teddy in my arms. Once we arrived, Jonah walked me to the door.

"Well, today was fun," He said, smiling down at me.

"It really was, I would love to do something again," I said, still holding the monkey in my arms.

"Well, I've got to head off, have a wonderful rest of your day," He said before placing his lips against mine. I kissed him back, but he unwillingly pulled away. He started to blush and headed towards his car. I cuddled the stuffed monkey as I watched him drive away.

Hey  guys, I realise I am over a week late on updates. I am trying to make up for it. Also, I have no clue how a carnival is. I am just basing it on something I think is similar we have in our state.
