"Rose, we got a customer." Smiling at Angie Martinelli her co-worker, Rose grabbed her notepad before heading over to the now occupied booth.
"Hi, welcome to the L&L Automat. What can I get for you?"
"My, my, my. Who would have thought we'd bump into each other again."
Looking up from her notepad, Rose let out a little huff as she matched the familiar voice to its face. None other than Bucky Barnes was sitting in the booth in front of her grinning brightly.
"Oh, its you..." she spoke grimly before turning her attention to the smaller man sitting opposite Bucky.
"Hi there, I'm Rose. What can I get you?"
The smaller man chuckled as he watched jealously flicker in his friends eyes.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Steve. I'll just have a coffee, thanks."
Nodding her head, Rose turned on her heel and quickly made her way back to the kitchen completely ignoring Bucky's burning gaze.
"Why are you ignoring me doll?" Bucky spoke, pulling himself onto one of the seats in front of the counter.
"I'm working."
"You didn't even take my order." A smirk evident on his face as he watched Rose's cheeks go red.
Taking a deep breath, she grabbed her notepad and pen.
"What'll it be today?"
"Surprise me" Bucky grinned before hopping off the seat and walking back over to his booth.
"That man, I swear..." Rose began to angrily mutter before she heard Angie chuckle.
"Looks like you got yourself a suitor, hon."
Grabbing Steve's coffee and Bucky's "surprise" Rose walked back over to the booth. Carefully she placed the cup in front of Steve and then a banana split sundae in front of Bucky.
Taking in Steve and Bucky's shocked expressions the girl, rolled her eyes.
"Oh, what now?"
Clearing his voice, Bucky spoke. "How'd you know?"
"Know what? You're gonna have to be more specific."
Steve's grin grew big as he answered "Banana split sundaes are Bucky's favourite."
"I didn't. They're my favourite, so I just made you that. Don't be overthinking it."
"Well doll, you definitely surprised me... we will most definitely be eating here more often."
"Brilliant!" Rose spoke, faking a smile before walking over to a hysteric Angie who was watching from behind the counter.
"Hey Rose. You could say he's whipped for you." this threw the blonde girl into a bigger fit of giggles.
