Then

"You really punched him?"

"Yup. Square in the nose." Bucky let out a loud ring of laughter as Rose flashed a proud smile. The two had gotten tired from dancing and Bucky offered to walk Rose home.

"What? That's what he gets for putting his hand on my waist."

Hearing this, Bucky cheekily placed a hand on her waist and waited for her reaction. Raising an eyebrow at him, instead of punching him like Bucky thought she would. She moved closer to him, resting her head on his chest as they walked down the street.

Like a cliche taken from a movie scene, drops of rain began to fall from the sky. Instantly Rose squealed, moving away from Bucky and trying to shield her hair. Bucky stood there, admiring the way the rain drops landed in her golden hair. Smiling he watched as she gave up, putting her arms down.

"Are you giving me googly eyes, Barnes?"

"Why would you think that?" Bucky smirked.

In an instant Rose interlocked her fingers with his and pulled him down the street. The two young adults laughing as they ran through the rain until they reached the front door of Rose's house. Trying to catch their breaths the two sat on the floor, laughter still bubbling in their throats.

"You better get inside before you get sick." Bucky spoke, giving a hand to help her up.

"One date."

"What?" Bucky spoke confused.

"Pick me up tomorrow night at 6 and you'll get your date." With that she unlocked the front door and entered her house leaving Bucky outside. A bright grin formed on his face as he pumped his fist in the air. Little did he know Rose was happily dancing on the other side of the door. Skipping through the rain, Bucky made his way home, disbelief that she had finally given him a chance.
