"Why'd ye do this ti me Orlaith? Ye supposed to be me best friend?" Shiv raged "all this time I've loved you and you've stabbed me in the back! I made the decision to not tell him way back when and YE stomped all over that decision because Orlaith Cairnes thinks it's her decision to change it! We were happy in this little family. We didn't NEED HIM complicating things. But good old Orls thought Jared DESERVED to complicate it! Now there'll be lawyers and d.n.a tests and access! Leef will be used as a pawn!" Shiv screamed. But what ye didnt know is that he'd spent THOUSANDS of dollars and a year trying to find ye! He even hired a private investigator ti find ye. But poor little cinderella didn't even leave him a glass slipper did ye? Ay? Well did ye? He didnt know ye full name, ye age, which town ye lived, only a picture and it came ti nothing.. THOUSANDS of dollars Shiv and you gave up after a few emails believing YOU to be the betrayed one! You're a narcissist Siobahn! You're should have seen the poor laddy tonight Shiv, he was BROKEN. Padraig stood in the hallway and sighed..."went well ay?" He hissed "yis 2 wanna be ashamed of this. There's a poor wee girl through there, sleeping soundly and yis are stood there like the whole damned street cant hear yis! "Yeah" Orlaith snapped maliciously "it's all about Shiv though Pat" "i don't really care to be honist Orls! Shiv there's your little lassy asleep through there so why don't ye both go and sleep it off? "Hear that Orls? MY wee girl. No-one else's..." "oh yeah Shiv? I didn't realise poor Leef was the immaculate conception, the secind coming of jaysus! You're so self centred there's no wonder Winston used to beat ye!" Shiv's punch came from nowhere and put orlaith straight on her arse. "I can't believe what youve jist said Orlaith. Never will i ever forgive that". Picking herself up off the floor, Orlaith stammered "Gad, Shiv, please...i don't know why I sid that, it just came out, so it did! Im so so sorry babe". Shiv smiled a sad smile and spoke quietly "it's me that should be sorry" Orlaith laughed and replied "why? Twas me in the wrong" "no orls I'm sorry because I'm taking Leef ti Dublin where no one can take her from me". And she was right. There was a law in southern Ireland that stated that a mother and her children couldn't be extradited from there under any circumstances. Shiv then took off her coat and without another word, stalked into her room and shut the door. "Shiv, dont do this!" Shouted Padraig through the door but
they heard nothing but moving about and sobbing. Orlaith went to open the door to comfort her best friend as she always did but padraig lightly grabbed her arm saying "don't ye think yiv done enough damage fir one night" and Orlaith hung her head, defeated.

The next morning, both Orlaith and Pat thought Shiv would've calmed down overnight. A good sleep and a rethink and she'd be back to the normal, chilled mammy Shiv. But shiv most certainly had not changed back. In her place was an angry one more determined in her quest to leave. Orlaith had apologised profusely and pleaded with Shiv not to. Shiv had graciously accepted her apology and assured her that there was no wonder she did what she did. She'd have probably done the same had it been her. She went on to finally admit that she was still absolutely and utterly in love with jared and that was one of the reasons she had to leave. "Jared is a very busy man and I don't want to drag him down" and "I don't want to jump into a relationship just because of Leef" she'd then grabbed Orlaith's head, tucked a loose bit of hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead. "I'll love you til the end of time Orlaith Cairnes, always. Ye know that don't ye?" Orlaith looked at the woman she loved with all her heart and nodded slowly...agreeing to something that in her mind, she didn't know at all.
