Chapter 20: Rewinding Time

Anthony's pov

Few hours after the fight

"What happened? you guys look terrible" I said walking inside with ally, not caring that the rain was pouring down on me since ally had my hoodie. "Where's Peter and Malia?" I questioned, hopping on the couch armrest.

"..Uh.. little Ralph junior" Dinah began, as Normani cleaned the cut on her arm. "About your grand pops.." Just then the door opened revealing a soaking wet Lauren and Camila. Mom's eyes were distant as she walked past us.

"Tell me what happened," I say looking at them all. "What happened, while I was gone" they all looked at one another before putting their heads down. "Dinah please, tell me" I begged her.

"What happened?" Ally questioned taking off the wet hoodie, throwing it to the floor, grabbing a hold of my hand.

"Anthony, I think you should go talk to your parents," Piper told me.

"What happened?" Ant asked barging into the room, looking around at them. "And where's Malia and Peter?"

"Not now son" Camila spoke rubbing Lauren's arm in a comforting way. By the look on her face, he could tell it wasn't something good. "Just go outside. We'll talk later"

"But-"

"Now Ant," she says glancing his way as Lauren moved to the bathroom closing and locking the door behind her. Anthony looked to his mom for just a bit of information but she sadly shook her head as if saying not now. So he left the room, going back to the living room.

"Ok, someone better tell me what happened or I swear I'll-"

"They're gone" Demi spoke up to him.

"Huh?"

"While you were trying to win smallz back, the blood born came," Dinah says taking the lead on explaining to him. "We gave them one hell of a fight, though they kicked our ass just a tad," she says glancing at her cuts that are no doubt gonna take a while to heal properly.

"Anyway, Malia helped fight them off, but it wasn't enough. So, she killed them. Freya to be exact, ripping her heart out from her chest" Normani then tells.

"It was shocking, of course, then Derek went after Mila about to kill her as she laid helplessly on the ground, that's when Mal tackled him and bit into his skin killing him instantly," Dinah told. Anthony stood surprised and shocked that Malia had killed the ones who raised her.

"In the end, it was down to her and Klaus and well-" Piper cut herself off unable to finish telling the story.

"Peter and her didn't make it" Demi finished, giving him a sad look.

Anthony stood there still as a statue unable to believe the news that they had just told him. Though he had not known them for that long, it still cut him deeply as the realization of not seeing them around the house or period finally hit him. Ally moved to go hug him when she saw the sad and lonely look on his face, but immediately he stepped back looking at her with distant blue eyes. He looked to everyone else, then ran out of the house lighting speed.

"Anthony!!! Come back!!" Ally yelled after him.

"Just leave him alone for now," Demi tells her, walking up behind her, resting a hand on her shoulder. "He'll be back eventually, trust me. He just needs time to process and grief for a while" She shares, before turning to walk away.

Ally stood in the doorway, watching as the rain fell looking where he had run off to.
