Liz's pov: It's been a week since I had that fight with Zach. Obviously we had made up right after it, but our friendship clearly isn't the same anymore. Anyone can tell, even if they barely knew us. I had grown really close to the other boys though. Even went on that date with Daniel, which afterwards we decided just to stay friends because we both knew that I had feelings for Zach. Rachel and Zach seem to have gotten closer. Anytime I'm around they're always making out or whispering stuff in each other's ears making the other one giggle. Which is why I don't go there quite often. Right now I'm at the boys house though. Rachel and Zach aren't in sight anywhere though.
"Guys where is Zach and Rachel?" I asked.
"At her house I think." Daniel said shrugging.
I bit my bottom lip then nodded as I thought of the worst possible things that could be happening.
"I thought they went out for food?" Corbyn asked clearly confused.
Daniel shrugged once again.
"I'm not really for sure where they went, I just guessed her house." Daniel replied.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
"We should go somewhere." Jack suggested.
My eyes lit up, hoping we'd go somewhere fun.
"Where to?" I asked excitedly.
"How's the beach sound?" Jack asked.
"Fan-flipping-tastic!" I exclaimed.
"Great, we'll get changed then drive to your house so you can get changed and afterwards we'll head to the beach." Jack said.
"Okay hurry up and go get changed." I said shooing them out of the living room.
They all laughed at how excited I was then hurried upstairs to go get changed. Soon the front door opened and slammed shut. I peeked my head out from the living room and saw Zach. I quickly pulled my head back into the living room and acted as if I didn't know he was back. I heard footsteps come into the living room then stop.
"Elizabeth." Zach said.
I looked over at him and gave a small smile.
"Hey, where's Rachel?" I asked.
Zach walked around the couch then sat down by me. He sighed and leaned his head back on the couch.
"We got into a fight." He mumbled.
"Over what?" I asked.
He looked over at me, then looked away.
"Does it really matter?" He asked.
"I don't know, maybe." I replied.
"It's not even like we broke up, we just got into a fight that's all." He said.
"Just give her time, she'll forgive you." I said.
He looked back at me and laughed dryly.
"Who said I did something?" He asked coldly.
"Never mind, sorry." I mumbled before standing up and walking out of the room.
"Guys, are you almost ready?" I yelled from the bottom of the stairs, hoping to just leave and go have fun at the beach.
I heard footsteps from behind me and mentally sighed because I didn't feel like talking to Zach anymore.
"E, I'm sorry for being rude, I'm just upset." Zach said.
I turned around and looked at him.
"It's fine, I get it." I said shrugging.
"Where are you guys going anyways?" He asked.
"The beach, wanna come?" I asked.
"It could cheer you up." I added.
"I don't know, it's that's a good idea." He said.
"How come?" I asked.
"Cause of my fight with Rachel." He mumbled.
"Wait was your fight about me?" I asked.
He looked away from me and didn't say anything. I knew right away that their fight was about me.
"She doesn't like me being friends with you, that's all." He finally said breaking the silence that was created.
"Whatever if you wanna end your friendship with me to make Rachel happy then go ahead." I said.
"I'm not ending my friendship with you." He said looking back at me.
"Okay, well then what are you gonna do?" I asked.
He shrugged.
"I'll just spend more time with her I guess." He said.
I nodded not bothering to say anything else. Then the four other boys came down the stairs. I looked over at them and smiled.
"Okay let's go." Daniel said.
"Zach, are you coming?" Jonah asked.
I looked at Zach, who was now biting his lower lip. I could tell he was debating if he should go or not.
"Uh sure, but I'll just meet you guys there." Zach said.
"You gonna bring Rachel?" Corbyn asked.
"Yeah, I'm gonna stop by her house and ask her if she wants to come." Zach replied giving him a slight nod.
"Okay, well let's go Liz." Jack said.
The boys headed towards the door and as I was beginning to follow until Zach grabbed my wrist.
"Can we talk for a second?" Zach asked.
I looked back at him and nodded.
"You guys go ahead to the car I'll be right there." I called after the other guys.
They all nodded their heads and continued out the front door. Once the front door shut, Zach let go of my wrist then moved so he was in front of me.
"I'm sorry." Zach said sighing.
I scrunched up my nose confused.
"For what?" I asked.
"For the fact, I'm gonna go make Rachel forgive me and bring her to the beach." He said rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's fine, she's your girlfriend, I understand." I said shrugging.
He bit his lower lip, his eyes flickering from my eyes to my lips. He looked at them longingly. Then he looked back up at my eyes.
"I uh-" Zach started to say, but then he paused.
He didn't continue what he was gonna say. Which created an awkward tension between us.
"I gotta go, see ya at the beach." I said hurrying out of the house before anything could possibly happen.
"Was he gonna kiss me?"
"No he wasn't gonna kiss you, ya idiot."
"He doesn't like you like that, he has Rachel, remember?"
"Is Rachel worried that he likes me and that's why she doesn't approve of him being friends with me?"
"What would've happened if I stayed in there long?"
Those were some of the few thoughts that were running through my head as I made my way into the van.
"You okay?" Jack asked putting his arm around me.
I slightly smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said.
"What'd he want to talk about?" Daniel asked.
"Nothing important, now lets go to the beach!" I exclaimed hoping they would just drop the whole topic.
"To the beach!" Jonah yelled as we pulled out of their driveway.
