Zach's pov: I could feel Liz studying me as I was driving, but I didn't dare turn to look at her.

"Have you been getting any sleep?" Liz blurted out.

I finally glanced at her quickly before I looked back at the road.

"Some." I lied.

I knew she could see right through my lie though. She's always been able to tell when I'm lying.

"You need to get more sleep." She said.

"So do you." I shoot back because I also knew she hasn't been getting enough sleep.

"I've been sleeping just fine." She said, but I knew better than to believe that.

"Mhm if you say so." I said.

Liz didn't say anything, instead she turned on the radio and New Rules by Dua Lipa began to play. I mentally groaned in annoyance because I knew what this song was about.

One, one, one, one, one...

Talkin' in my sleep at night, makin' myself crazy

(Out of my mind, out of my mind)

Wrote it down and read it out, hopin' it would save me

(Too many times, too many times)

My love, he makes me feel like nobody else, nobody else

But my love, he doesn't love me, so I tell myself, I tell myself

One: Don't pick up the phone

You know he's only callin' 'cause he's drunk and alone

Two: Don't let him in

You'll have to kick him out again

Three: Don't be his friend

You know you're gonna wake up in his-

I turned off the radio and gripped the steering wheel tightly as I clenched my jaw. It's not that I hate this song, it's just that Liz might be able to relate with it and decide to never talk to me ever again. I didn't want that to happen.

"You okay, Z?" Liz asked softly.

Hearing Liz call me by the nickname she had given me made me feel a lot calmer. I loosed my grip on the steering wheel and relaxed my jaw. I sighed.

"Yeah, yeah I'm all good." I said.

Though if I'm being honest what I had just said was sort of a lie.

The rest of the car ride was silent, but as soon as we got to where I had planned on going I pulled over at a rather familiar, empty parking lot.

"Where are we?" Liz asked.

"Just get out of the car." I said as I got out of my car.

It was so dark that I couldn't see Liz, but I heard the car door open then shut. I walked around the front of my car.

"Where are you at?" I heard Liz asked.

I grabbed my phone out my pocket and turned on my flashlight.

"Right here, now take my hand." I said holding out my hand.

"Why?" She asked.

"Cause it's dark out and I don't want you to get lost." I said.

"I can just use the flashlight on my phone so I wouldn't get lost." She said.

"Just hold my hand, okay?" I said.

She bit the inside of her bottom lip and nodded.

"Fine." She said as she grabbed my hand.

Right away I intertwined our fingers then pulled her closer to me.

"Are you having déjà vu or is it just me?" She asked quietly.

"It's not just you." I said chuckling.

"Now let's go." I said then we began to walk.

"Are we going where I think we're going?" She asked.

"Well where do you think we're going?" I asked.

"The same place we went on our first adventure." She said.

"Well then you are right." I said.

About a half hour later we were still walking, and just like last time Liz stopped which made me stop.

"Does your feet hurt?" I asked.

"Yeah." She said.

"Want a piggyback ride again?" I asked.

"Yes, but please don't drop me." She said.

"I would never drop you." I said as I bent down.

Liz got on my back and she wrapped her legs around my torso. Then she wrapped her arms around my neck. I put my hands on her thighs to keep her from falling. Then I started to walk again. About ten minutes later, we finally made it to the top. I crouched back down and Liz got off of my back then I went and sat down on the same rock I did last time. Liz came and sat right next to me on the rock.

"Remember back when we first came here?" I asked.

"Of course, I do." She replied.

"Do you miss it?" I asked.

"It was a good day." She simply said.

"Yeah, it was." I said.

"Do you ever wish you just stayed home that night?" She asked.

"No." I said.

"I regret a lot of things, but I don't regret meeting you." I continued.

"I don't regret meeting you either." She said.

We sat the rest of the time in silence then watched the sunrise.

"You ready to head back down?" I asked as I stood up.

"Yeah, I think so." She said looking from the sunrise to me.

I held out my hand and she grabbed it. We walked down in silence. Once we got to the car I unlocked it then held open the door for Liz. Then I got in, started the car and began to drive.

"We should hang out more." I said.

"Yeah, we should." Liz said, "we could go on a double date."

"Uh yeah, I guess we could." I said.

The rest of the car ride was silent because the faint sound of music from the radio playing. Once I pulled into Liz's driveway, I put my car in park then turned towards Liz -who was already looking at me.

"I'm really glad you decided to come, E." I said.

"Yeah, me too, Z." Liz said before getting out of my car and going back into her house.

I sat there in a moment and looked at where she once was before I started to drive back the boys and my house.
