As usual, Jimin, Jungkook and I would all meet up at the school gates after school. Jimin was much later today. Jungkook and I were just standing there waiting for him. "Where could he be at this time?" I asked looking around.

"If he doesn't hurry, we won't have any time to practice," Jungkook sighed, "I have to get home soon."

Jungkook's parents didn't like him staying out too late. They were kind of protective of him and his siblings. I only had one parent and then there was my sister. It was only my sister, dad, and me at home. My dad lets me go wherever I wanted for as long as I wanted.

After waiting for a few more minutes, Jimin still didn't show up. "Jungkook, you should get home. I'll look for Jimin, okay?" I suggested.

"Are you sure? I can look for him too."

"I'm sure. I'll be fine by myself."

Jungkook nodded and patted my shoulder before leaving. I walked around the school until I heard Jimin's voice from under the stairs. "Kou, what do you want?" Jimin asked.

Kou was a classmate of ours. She had the biggest crush on Jimin. For some reason, she asked me for permission to ask him out. She thought Jimin and I had a thing for each other or something. I, of course, told her we were just friends. I didn't even like anyone at all, especially not Jimin. He was my best friend. It would be weird to date him.

"There's something I want to tell you," Kou said shyly.

I listened in closer to hear the conversation better. "What do you want to say?" Jimin's voice was as cheery as ever.

"Well, I've had a crush on you for a while now," Kou explained, "So, I was wondering if you would be my boyfriend."

I anticipated his answer. I so badly wanted to know what he was going to say to her and I wasn't sure why.

"I would gladly be your boyfriend," Jimin beamed, "Let's hang out right now."

Kou and Jimin then left that area, holding hands. I didn't know how I felt about it. I was, of course, happy for him but, I felt strange. My heart was hurting for some reason. I decided to ignore it. Since Jimin would be with Kou, I decided to leave school and go to Jungkook's house.

Later, after hearing Jimin's answer, I went to Jungkook's house. When I rang the doorbell, his mom opened the door. She smiled when she saw me. "Oh Hyerin, It's great to see you!" She said, her voice sweeter than ever.

She led me into the house and I looked around. "Jungkook's home, right?" I asked, "I need help with my homework."

"Of course, he's in his room."

I nodded and made my way to Jungkook's room. I lightly knocked on his door and a second later Jungkook came out. He looked surprised to see me. "Hyerin, what are you doing here?" Jungkook asked.

I pushed him into his room and closed the door behind me. "You wouldn't believe what happened," I gossiped, "Jimin is dating Kou."

I told Jungkook about everything that happened between Kou and Jimin. "Aren't you upset about Jimin dating?" Jungkook asked me.

I laughed nervously. "W-why would I be?" I scoffed, "It's not like I like him or anything."

Jungkook gave me a questioning look. I wasn't sure why Jungkook didn't believe me. I was... Happy for him.

The next day, everyone at school heard about Jimin and Kou. Students continued to come up to me and talk about it. Some of them were shocked that I wasn't jealous. I had to constantly tell them that I never liked Jimin that way. By the end of the day, I was highly annoyed. Finally, it was time to hang out with Jungkook and Jimin. I happily walked to the school gates. I was shocked to see Jimin and Kou flirting with each other. I sighed before moving closer to them.

"Hey, Jimin... Kou," I said with a strained smile, "Where's Jungkook?"

"He has something to do today so, it's just us," Jimin answered.

"And I'm coming along!" Kou said happily.

I smiled. That was just great. The only time I could spend alone with Jimin is now ruined by his girlfriend. I was upset. I tried my best to look happy about it. Jimin, Kou, and I made our way to the dance studio.

At the studio, Jimin and Kou were flirting the entire time. We were supposed to be practicing but, he was too distracted by his new girlfriend. I watched them as they complimented each other.

"Hyerin, isn't Jimin great?" Kou asked me, "He's such a caring person."

"He's... Great, I guess," I said awkwardly.

"I hope we're together forever." Kou beamed as she said that. I couldn't help but roll my eyes in annoyance. I wasn't really sure why, but it irritated me that they liked each other.

"Oh, look at the time," Kou said with that smile, "I guess I should go home."

"I could walk you home," Jimin said following her to the door. Just him offering made my blood boil.

"No I'll be fine. Just stay with Hyerin."
Jimin nodded and kissed her on the cheek before she left. Kou's face turned pink and she quickly walked out the door. Jimin came back over to me and I smiled awkwardly.

"You must really like Kou, huh," I said. Jimin smiled at me and my heart fluttered a little.

"Yea. I was so happy when she approached me. I had a crush on her for a long time and I didn't know how to approach her."

I nodded. I couldn't listen to anymore of this. When he said that, I realized exactly what I was feeling. It was jealousy. I was jealous of Kou. And that fact made me realized that I had a crush on my bestfriend, Jimin. It might have always been like this. I just never noticed. I noticed way too late and now Jimin was with Kou. Just my luck.

I really needed to work on my timing.
