Ebebus shouldered his way past me into the hall
"By the gods Mors why would you send her back" he shouted at me.
He and Boreas faced me across the hall looking livid
"You think she's the seventh, part of the prophecy" I laughed at them "get real, if she was our seven we would have realised before this, she's a plant, a test from the gods"
"You're wrong" Boreas told me shaking his head and turning away, "she knows nothing about the prophecy, she doesn't even think we are real, she doesn't know she is dreamwalking, you saw her reaction to us, she didn't intentionally show us the mark" he swung back round to face me " in fact you idiot if you hadn't spooked Peg she would have never have fallen"
I groaned and ran my hands through my hair "I know I didn't mean for her to fall, but now we know, well what do we know, she has a mark that matches ours, that proves nothing, she's mortal and we're gods"
Erebus snorted his contempt "why do you fight this, the signs all point to her"
My temper flared, I didn't want to be part of a prophecy which could see us fall "why do you give in so easily" I retorted.

"What the gods is all this shouting about" Pan shouted over us.
I turned to face the rest of our group Attis stood to one side of Erebus and Boreas having silently rejoined us since we got home, Pan and Helios stood by the stairs waiting for an answer.
"Nettie bears our mark" I said into the silence and watched Pan's jaw drop
"Gods, your sure" he asked us
"Yes" Erebus confirmed
"What else" Pan prompted
"Our birthdays match and she will be twenty one with us" Boreas told them.
"Okay so what happened tonight to bring all this up, did she tell you, do she know anything more about the prophecy" Pan asked looking between us.
I looked at the others, "maybe we should get comfortable before we continue this" and made my way towards the bar, pouring myself a drink before sitting and waiting for them to join me.

"Well" Helios prompted looking at us
Boreas said he had found her in Zeus's temple and they had joined the others, Attis explained she wanted to explore the Maze but they had taken her to meet Pegasus as a safer adventure, Pegasus offering her a ride and then her fall, getting her out and her freezing and how in the process of getting her warm we had all seen her side and her mark.
"and then things escalated and I told her to wake up" I told them finishing the tale.

"And she knows nothing" Helios queried.
"No, she doesn't believe we are real either" Attis stated.
"She could be a plant, a test from the gods" I reminded them.
"Well whatever she is we need to make plans, what do we do next, are we sure she is mortal" Pan asked looking around.
"What makes you think she's not mortal" Attis asked leaning forward his eyes on Pan.
"How many mortals can dream walk, how many could accept some of the things she has seen whilst she is here, she has been visiting almost nightly since we were 18, that in itself is unusual" he replied
"If it's so bloody unusual why are we only now questioning it" I shout jumping up and pacing
"Because now it means something" Boreas said to me.
"What now" I ask them.
Erebus smiled "now we go to Earth and find her" he said rubbing his hands together, "let's start planning, so what do we know about Nettie's life on Earth" he asked looking at us expectantly.
