Nakakainis yung lalaking 'yon. Tsk! sinabi nang nagmamadali ako, pero hindi niya pa rin binigay yung mga libro ko.
"I'm home," sabi ko nang makarating ako sa bahay. Thanks to that guy, dahil paniguradong mapapagalitan na naman ako nito. Sobrang late ko na para sa dinner namin ngayong gabi.
"Why are you late?" My Mom asked in a cold way. What could I expect, e 7 pm yung dinner tapos ganitong oras na ako nakauwi. Sinong Nanay ang matutuwa hindi ba?
"Good evening, Ma," I greeted, I was about to hug her pero iniiwas niya yung sarili niya.
"Uwi ba 'yan nang matinong babae?" She asked angrily. Lumakas bigla yung kabog ng dibdib ko dahil sa kaba. Kasalanan ito ng lalaking 'yon, e! Strict ang parents ko sa'kin kaya hindi ako pwedeng umuwi nang ganitong oras.
"Sorry, Ma. Yung lalaki po kasi kanina sa exit ng mall ayaw ibigay yung mga pinamili kong libro kaya ayon po," I tried to explain, hoping that she would believe even though I know she won't.
"At talagang dahil pa sa lalaki kaya ka ginabi nang uwi?" She's jumping to conclusions again. Para namang hindi niya ako kilala, hindi ako uuwi nang ganitong oras dahil lang sa lalaki no!
"Ma! mali po 'yang iniisip mo, okay?" I was just disgusted. I turned and was about to go upstairs when I heard what she said before she walked into the living area.
"That's good, then. Bukas ay hindi ka lalabas!" Wth? dali-dali ko siyang sinundan sa living area para sabihin na may lakad kami ni Ember bukas.
"Mommy naman. Can you just let this pass for now? may lakad po kami ni Ember bukas. Please, Ma..." I tried to convinced her but she looks like she won't agree.
"No." Napahinga ako nang malalim sa sagot niya. Nangako pa naman ako kay Kesh na sasamahan ko siyang mag shopping bukas.
"Please, Ma. I love you," I said, then I kissed her on cheek .
"That won't change my mind. Go upstairs!" Napairap nalang ako sa hangin atsaka padabog na nagpunta sa kwarto ko.
How can I convince my Mom? Panigurado'y magtatampo si Ember kapag hindi ako sumipot bukas. I don't understand why my parents were so strict with me. I know I'm not at the right age yet, but I know what's right and wrong.
Kailangan kong mapapayag si Ja na kumbinsihin si Mommy na payagan akong umalis bukas. My parents weren't strict with Ja and my two brothers, so I don't understand why they're so strict with me. I'm a good daughter naman, and sinusunod ko naman lahat nang sinasabi nila, I'm also doing a good job at my studies.
I'm trying to be a perfect daughter for them. But why it seems they don't want me to have my own life?
I stood up and went straight into Nadjah's room without knocking. Naabutan ko siyang nakadapa habang kausap ang mga kaibigan niya.
"Don't you know how to knock?" irita niyang tanong sa'kin atsaka bumalik ulit sa pakikipag-usap sa mga kaibigan niya.
"I have a favor to ask, please." agad naman siyang napatingin sa'kin na para bang hindi makapaniwala.
"Seriously? what is it?" I smiled secretly. Mabuti nalang at madaling kausap itong si Ja.
"Can you convince Mommy to let me go out tomorrow? Maybe you can convince her, please."
