Chapter 5

Maddys wounds healed by the first day of the purple moon wear He left him alone. He knew it was not ganna be long till the beatings start again and he was on egg shells waiting for it. Simon had been coming cover to his house right after school, and looked through his papers, he knew a lot more about it then Maddy did. They never found much witch always pissed Simon off. He also was the one that set up every listing devise and the two cameras though he grumbled about there not being more.

Maddy sat in literature class, staring at the bored absently. He was bored, all the teacher was going over was review, and it did nothing to get his mind off of Him or the hunting around. The door to the class room opened and in walked in the assistant principal followed by a medium sized girl, and she was hard to miss. Her hair was all the colors on the color weal, her super dark eyes wear encircled by black, and her lips wear bright red. Mr. Rotwolf, the assistant principal, introduced her as Sugar, which got a lot of sinkers from most the students.

She sat at the only seat available, the seat in front of Maddy. The teacher could not get the class back to focus on the review so he told everyone to study on their own. The bell rang and Sugar went for her bag, but Maddy grabbed her wrist. She turned and glared ate him “What do you want?”

“I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.”

“Fine, hello and good bye,” she yanked her wrist away from him. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door.

“My names Maddy,” he yelled at her as she left the room, but Sugar ignored him. He smiled to himself, anyone brave enough to come to this small pack with that hair and have such an attitude was definitely someone he wanted to know.

School ended and he met Simon, “I have to meet with Red Rock and her thing one and two.” Simon seemed to like the names he had given to the two guys who always seemed near Miss Red Rock but never said anything. “She had me promise I wouldn’t tell anyone, so I can’t bring you.”

Simon growled in protest but reluctantly agreed, Maddy had a feeling Simon did not trust them. He headed home, since he had work that evening. Maddy went to the diner that he met last time and found them next to the cars, which made them stand out pretty easily.

“So how’s it going?”

Maddy shrugged and opened his back pack and pulled out a note book and handed it to her. “I took these notes,” he lied, for it was Simon who really took them.

She skimmed them then handed it to Thing one, who had red hair, and skin was paler then most werewolves Maddy saw. “We’ll look it over.”

“Have you seen anything?”

“Not of interest,” the women said but her voice was tight. “We have a question, when you look through Ryan Black Paws office; it sounds like there someone else with you. You didn’t tell anyone, did you?”

“Of course not,” he then turned and walked away. Maddy had a bad feeling from that question, and he did not know why. Was she that worried someone would tell Him about what he was doing.

Umph.

A colorful haired girl recoiled from running into Maddy. She looked at him angrily. “Watch wear your going,” she growled.

“You know acting mean aint ganna get you friends around here.”

Her eyes narrowed at him, “And who said I need friends?!” she started walking off but she froze and looked at Miss Red Rock, and the Things, get into their cars. “Wear you just talking to them?”

“What does it matter to you?” Maddy walked off with a smile.

Simon looked through the files again. A lot of these files had to do with polices of the Aliened Werewolves and there trading with foreign packs. In its self, almost every business man in the Aliened Packs had this policy, but there was something about rouge trading that got his attention. Maddy copied word for word what the paper said. Trading with rouge packs was legal but strict in what you could trade.

Nothing involving technology could be traded, no educational books or journals. They had to be food, clothing, or perfumes, nothing else. Yet this was all highlighted in the documents they found and Simon had a feeling he was trading somehow using what was legal. If Simon himself was to trade illegally, it is what he would do anyways.

There was a knock on his window then Maddy slid it open. As soon as Maddy looked at Simon he saw the black eye. “He only hit me once, and then he left, saying he won’t be back.” He sat on the bed next to Simon, “I had a feeling you’d still be up,” he smiled.

“We have to go to Hs work place.”

Maddy tensed and looked wide eyed. “What! Why?”

“We have to see what he’s trading to rouge packs.”

Cadda looked through the videos again, yet she still had no clue who was in the house with the young Black Paw. The only physical clue of someone in the house was the noise of the girl or boy walking. The other clue was that the young Black Paw took the files out of the office instead of looking through them right there. She growled, she was not going to let some child mess everything up by bringing in someone else.

Even when the cameras and listening devices were set, only one person showed in the cameras and no one spoke. The person in the video though never showed there face or indicators if they were Mathew or someone else. She had to fix this problem quickly.

Tomorrow she would follow the brat to his house and see who he brought then talk to the boy or girl privately. Cadda was 90 percent sure that whoever Mathew Black Paw was bringing in, was a child, and children wear easy to control.
