{Training time~}
With the bright morning sun shining in the sky, and the bamboo trees slightly swaying, Zhou Yun, was standing near the lake with Zi Lei, Xi Feng and Bo Lin.
"Ok Disciple Yun, the first step before anything else is for you to first decide on your cultivation technique. Do you wish to be a Fighter or an Elementalist?" Bo Lin asked, letting Zhou Yun decide was the best option rather than just telling her to do one without her opinion. This way, she would invest more time and effort into it willingly, and her fighting style would become more fluid.
Zhou Yun weighed out her options. Although being an Elementalist meant that she would be able to execute not only mid to long range attacks with substantial power, she was more comfortable with being in close range to deal her blows. This was due to her upbringing and experience in the Underground back in the old world. Despite having experience in guns and sniping, she excelled in close combat and even loved the thrill of the fight.
"Master Bo Lin, I want to become a Fighter." Zhou Yun said resolutely. Her eyes were firm and when she said that, her voice didn't waver or show signs of hesitation.
"Good!" Zi Lei suddenly spoke up, stepping forward from the side to stand beside Bo Lin. "Disciple Yun, as the only Fighter here out of the three of us, I'll be sure to properly guide you along your cultivation journey to becoming the most formidable Fighter!" Zi Lei said strongly, his voice firm and eyes bright as he looked at the small Zhou Yun standing before him. Although he knew that she was still very young, from the moment they had found her in the forest, they knew she wasn't simple.
"Yes! Many thanks Master Zi Lei!" Zhou Yun gratefully bowed while cupping her hands.
"Ok, I'll teach you the [Fighter Cultivation Technique]. Without first entering into the Red Rank, it will be impossible for one to check for compatible attributes. So before training in those fields, we'll start with [Body Tempering] and cultivation!" Zi Lei was now speaking with much enthusiasm.
"[Body Tempering]?" Zhou Yun didn't remember Bo Lin mentioning it in the talk previously and looked at the two confused.
"[Body Tempering] is an especially important aspect for Fighters as we use our bodies during our battles! To train the body is the key to success! As for Elementalists, because they don't use their physical bodies in the fight, they don't need to do [Body Tempering] but instead, they train their mental abilities for fast technique execution using [Mind Break]. It sounds strange despite them using it to fortify their minds, but that's how it is." Zi Lei laughed, patting Bo Lin's shoulder who made an awkward face at the name of the technique.
"Ok, enough of that teasing. Let's get started. Disciple Yun, follow my lead ok?" Zi Lei laughed and walked closer to the edge of the lake, motioning for Zhou Yun to follow. "Being close to the water will help as this particular area that we've chosen has an abundant quantity of Qi and with the lake here, it will be a calming agent for your mind alongside the bamboo." Zi Lei then sat down in the lotus position, directing Zhou Yun to follow suit. "Close your eyes and do as I say." Waiting for Zhou Yun to close her eyes, he then continued.
"Now, before anything else, listen to my directions before you start." Zi Lei wanted to let her complete the cultivation technique without any distractions. Zhou Yun nodded to show she agreed. "Shut all the distractions and sounds out, and feel for movements in the world. Try and become part of the world itself and feel for the Qi in the atmosphere. Once you've found it, use your Dantian and draw the Qi into it and once it's in, move the Qi from your Dantian and cycle it through your body, through all your meridians and let your body soak it all up. This will strengthen your body. This is what you'll have to do until your body cannot absorb anymore, and once it reaches this stage, you can then properly accumulate Qi in your Dantian. Now, I start." Zi Lei directed, keeping an eye on Zhou Yun as she went through the process.
