{Is... is that what we think it is?}
Zhou Yun opened her eyes as she felt her stomach making noises from hunger. She had been laying on the soft patch of grass for a while to rest, and now that her stomach was growling, she only just realised how late it was. Seeing in the sky that it was gradually approaching dusk, Zhou Yun quickly got up and brushed off the loose blades of grass that stuck to her hair and clothes before heading back through the forest. She didn't forget to keep the Moonstone bead tightly held in her hand as she did.
Although she missed her old light a little, it wasn't all that much to be reborn into a new person in another world. Actually, she had felt that it was good, because now she could start afresh without any of the old grudges. At this thought, Zhou Yun couldn't help smiling to herself. As the edges of her lips curled upwards, the little girl's face bloomed with a delicate smile that could make a grown man fall to his knees.
Reaching the familiar clearing at the lake, the clear lake was glittering with the last light of day, and small fireflies could be seen lightly glowing among the trees and small plants at the edge of the lake. There amidst the evening scenery, she saw three beautiful people standing and siting around a small campfire talking to each other. This view made one hard to interrupt, but Zhou Yun didn't need to worry about that as Xi Feng noticed the small figure standing at the edge of the bamboo forest.
"Little Yun! Come over here, we've prepared some food for you~!"
Zhou Yun trotted over to where Xi Feng was sitting, receiving the newly grilled fish from her. This time, the fish was bigger, and not only was it coveted in various herbs, it was also lightly stuffed. So as Zhou Yun took a bite into the steaming fish, her mouth involuntarily drooled. It was more delicious than anything else she had ever tastes aside from this morning's meal.
Xi Feng, Bo Lin and Zi Lei looked on at her warmly, like family members watching their youngest satisfy their hunger.
While she was eating, she suddenly remembered what she wanted to and them. Fumbling, she managed to hold her fish and the bead in separate hands, her small hand looking awkward while she was holding the large fish.
"Do any of my Masters know what this is?" Zhou Yun said as she swallowed the delicious fish in her mouth. Lifting her hand up with the bead in her palm, she held it in front of herself while she kept eating the fish.
As Xi Feng, Bo Lin and Zi Lei's eyes were drawn to her raised hand, the moment they laid eyes on the inch sized bead they all gasped in unison. The didn't think they'd be in for another shock within 24 hours and yet here was another shocking reveal by their little disciple.
Zhou Yun involuntarily jerked slightlt when her three Masters instantaneously closed in on her open hand, their faces close with inquisitive and questioning gazes. They looked over the entire bead, from all directions of all possible sides. When they finished, their faces still expressed great shock and they couldn't resist turning to look at their little disciple who was still munching away on her fish.
"D-Diciple Yun... where... where exactly did you find this?" Bo Lin asked with a barely noticably shaky voice. His eyes flickered between the bead and Zhou Yun. Zhou Yun noticed his behaviour and decided it'd be be best if she stopped eating for a bit. I mean, the fish isn't going to run away. She thought. With that, she quickly swallowed what easy left in her mouth.
"I found it where I was lying before, where I woke up. Remember that place? That's where I found it." Zhou Yun's eyes swiveled between each of her three Masters. Was there something wrong with the bead? She could help thinking.
"What?!" They all shouted in shock, making the unprepared Zhou Yun jolt.
"You found it there? Doesn't that mean...?" Xi Feng said cautiously, unsure of her deduction.
