{Yama's Invitation}
Night had arrived and Zhou Yun untied her hair and let it flow down as she got ready to sleep. Feeling the tiredness seeping into her body already, she completed a few simple stretches to relax her body before slipping under the soft covers and closing her eyes.
However, despite laying there with the intention to sleep, there was a strange sensation within her. It was quite puzzling for Zhou Yun who lay their furrowing her eyebrows, trying to figure out the cause.
As the night deepened, the strange and unsettling feeling also heightened, making Zhou Yun feel apprehensive. Her mind was spinning and working in overdrive, trying to decipher the unknown cause. From her previous years of experience working in a dangerous field, this sensation she was sensing was uncomfortably similar to when there was impending danger about to fall upon her.
This danger, in more cases than she could count, were life threatening and without having honed herself to understand this warning, she wouldn't have been able to escape the disasters by a hair's breadth as she always did.
With a pounding heart and increasing worries, her eyes flickered open and she flung the bed sheets off her body. A thin coat of sweat was beginning to form on her body caused from cold sweat. Jumping off the bed in a hurried manner and slipping on her shoes, her body was starting to tremble, gradually becoming uncontrollable as though she was in the cold.
Experiencing such, she burst out of her room and half-ran towards her Master's room, however, before her hand could even touch the door, she collapsed in a heap. Boneless and without energy, Zhou Yun felt the control over her body slipping away from her as it lay there on the cold ground trembling.
Hearing footsteps closing in on her, she joy permeated in her heart knowing that Xi Feng who was in the room had heard the sound of her coming in contact with the ground and go up to check.
But before she could fully rejoice, her mind jolted and starting from her fingertips and toes, it was the startling sensation of pins and needles. As it covered more and more of her body, it reached the point of unbearable pain as her body tingled and became hyper sensitive to touch. Laying on the floor meant at least half her body was touching something, and that wasn't even taking into account her light clothing.
As the feeling became more and more intense, Zhou Yun's eyes widened and her mouth parted as she breathed laborious breaths. Chanting over and over in her mind, she prayed that this agonizing pain would soon go away. However, this was a prayer that would go unheard as in that moment, Xi Feng had let out a surprised gasped and bent down to quickly help up her poor disciple collapsed on the ground.
"Little Yun!? What happened to you? Here, let me help yo-" But the moment her hands came into contact with Zhou Yun's body, Zhou Yun jerked and let out a pained yell, scaring the daylights out of Xi Feng who was trying to help her.
Jerking her hands away in shock, Xi Feng eyes became overcome with worry as she crouched onto the ground wanting to, but not bearing to touch her disciple. Her hands hung in the air in a flustered manner as she spoke.
"Little Yun! What's wrong?"
But Zhou Yun had to strength nor energy, her body felt lifeless except for the increasing hyper sensitivity taking place in her body. With watery eyes, she tried to ask for help as she was truly at a loss as to what was happening to her. Never had she ever thought something like this was possible, even with all her experience and built up courage and mentality, this was beyond her.
Xi Feng who was feeling scared and worried quickly notified the other two men who rushed over and examined their poor disciple. Without being able to do anything, it only ate away at their hearts.
