{This new world.}
As the first light of day arrived in the horizon, the hue of the forest gradually changed. From the mystical purplish look back to a more natural green colour. A cool breeze rustled the leaves, carrying the sweet aroma of blooming flowers.
Zhou Yun moved slightly, turning over onto her back on the soft grass. She pulled up the soft robe that they gave her last night to cover up while she slept.
"So this isn't a dream... I really died and entered another body..." Zhou Yun mumbled to herself as she stared at the sky above that was slowly brightening up. After setting those thoughts aside, she stretched her small delicate body before sitting up and putting the robe aside.
"Disciple Yun, you're awake. Did you sleep well?"
Zhou Yun looked up to see that tanned face looking back at her, his robes still as inpeccable as they were when she first saw them. Crease free.
"Yes Master Zi Lei!" Zhou Yun spoke enthusiastically. She was sure that today, she would finally learn about the world that she was in, and if she was lucky to have enough time, learn what she needs to do to become a proper martial artist.
"Come, Xi Feng and Bo Lin have already finished preparing breakfast." Zi Lei stepped towards Zhou Yun to help her up before letting her follow him through the forest.
As the light of day gradually brightened, the forest was lit up with warm morning sunlight which filtered through the trees. Zhou Yun had to keep a fast pace as her stride was too small in order to keep up with Zi Lei. Eventually, after a few minutes of walking, Zhou Yun noticed the trees changing, the woody forest type was gradually thinning and instead, bamboo was seen.
As the pair walked further, the bamboo forest became denser. Zhou Yun then suddenly noticed a large body of water in the center of the dense bamboo, a glittering clear lake was seen in the distance. As she reached the lake, Zhou Yun couldn't help but take in a breath.
The area could only be described as stunning. Crystal clear water that glittered under the sun light, the soft rustling of bamboo leaves and the gentle sway of the bamboo trees left her feeling like she had stepped into a Zen garden. It was simply the perfect place for a person to escape from the world's troubles and meditate.
"Little Yun! Over here!"
Xi Feng called out from from a short distance away. She could be seen sitting close to the water with away small campfire burning in front of her. She once again motioned for Zhou Yun to go over.
"Come, eat this. This fish was freshly obtained this morning and prepared by your Master. Eat it and grow strong little one!" Xi Feng passed her a crispy fish on a stick. As Zhou Yun took it from her Master's hand, she could see the subtle coating of salt and herbs making her mouth water.
This would be her first meal in another world, and Zhou Yun finally felt hunger take over her instincts. Bringing the steaming fish to her mouth, Zhou Yun blew on it slightly before taking a bite.
Eyes widening, the taste was simply indescribable. How could fish be this tasty after being cook in the wilderness? The soft flesh and crispy skin melted in Zhou Yun's mouth, the fine bones barely noticeable.
Before she noticed, Zhou Yun had already devoured the whole fish, feeling completely satisfied. It was unfortunate that a 7 year olds stomach could hold too much or else Zhou Yun would've asked for another roasted fish.
