"Well thanks for watching." Murr finished up, slapping his hands on his legs ready to stand up.
"And that's it," Casey said, behind one of the cameras. Along with another guy with a beard that I had never met.
"Are they good or what?" Rachel came back up to me, headphone wires tangled in all the paper she had to carry around.
"Yeah, they're amazing," I reply, "I wish everyone was as genuine as them."
"Yeah, we're all lucky to be working with them."
"You really are," I said awkwardly, I was suddenly changing my life choices. No longer did I want to open my own café, but maybe work alongside cameras and film crews. Maybe that's what I should do.
"You ok?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah, just had a moment," I laughed, still puzzled at my life choices.
Rachel was then off- telling someone about how the camera wires were meant to go into the second shelf- not the first.
Regularly she would turn to me and roll her eyes about the misunderstanding workers.
"Hey," Sal came over to me, "I'm really sorry about that guy..."
"It's fine," I cut him off, "he's an idiot."
"Anyone can do so much better than him." He smiled, facing the other guys as they packed up to head back to their rooms.
"I gotta go," Sal mumbled, "get ready for dinner."
"Right," I said as Joe made his way over.
"You ready for the buffet," Joe smiled. The same smile as when your partner just ran the marathon- or had a child. Not a buffet smile.
"You look too happy for food." I stated.
"No one," he said slowly, "no one, is too happy for food."
He carried his jumper and phone through the door and along the hall, followed suite by Murr.
"All you can eat!" Q shrieked to me as he passed onto the hall.
There was a feel that I was so out of place here; yet I fitted so perfectly. I felt awkward around them; yet I felt so comfortable.
The buffet at the hotel was incredible. We met together at a big circular table- me, the jokers and the rest of the crew. Rachel reserved her seat next to me, and Joe to my left.
"To food!" Joe shouted after everyone had settled into the seat.
"It's huge!" Sal exclaimed, his eyes open wide to see the whole view of the buffet.
Food everywhere!
"It's one big buffet." I pointed out flatly. Humour wasn't my strong point- especially when you're as gobsmacked as I was. Also, star struck tend to hit once a day- the realisation that I was with the Impractical Jokers!
The buffet ranged from curry to pizza, from noodles to chips and a chocolate fountain by the corner.
I couldn't believe it!
"Wow," Joe kept mumbling as he shoved extra mashed potato onto his plate. "You know scoopski potatos?"
"Uhh..." I began, but before I managed to save myself he filled the spoon full of mashed potato and flicked it onto my plate.
"That is scoopski potatos."
"You got the scoopski, I got potatos," Sal chanted as he passed.
I filled up my plate with chicken, potatoes, peas, and anything that passes as a normal dinner. I would stack up on chocolat afterward.
"You don't have to wait," Q said to Joe as Joe impatiently watched us all eat.
"Thanks," Joe said, scraped his seat back and ran towards the desserts.
"If they love something more than food... well, they can't," Rachel said to me.
"I can tell," I replied, "do they have any non food related jokes on Impractical Jokers."
Rachel laughed, snorting a bit as she held her hair away from her food, "not so much."
"Hey Olivia," Casey shouted from the other side of the circular table. "This is to you!" He raised his glass and waited for everyone to repeat.
"To Olivia!"
