**********Creed's POV*********

It was the third week of school, and nothing had changed. Lilly sat alone and I kept my feelings hidden within myself.

Lilly, oblivious to my feelings, decided to actually start a conversation with me.

"Hey."

I turned around and looked her in the eye. Oh, those eyes, my main weakness. I turned slightly so she couldn't see the blush that started to creep up onto my cheeks.

"Hello," I said it so softly that Lilly could barely hear me through all the noise in the classroom.

"Huh? What did you say? You're going to have to speak up."

"I said hello." I was still not looking at her directly.

"Oh. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about a few weeks ago. That was really rude of me." She looked at me and saw that my face was the color of a tomato.

"Um, are you okay? You look like you might explode."

"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just um... sunburn! Yeah, just sunburn."I then ran out of the classroom, I just couldn't handle the embarrassment.

'Okay then. I wonder what's wrong with him. Just a minute ago he was fine,' thought Lilly.

I took a sharp turn and entered the boy's bathroom. I started to splash water on my face.

"I can't believe I ran away. Great, now she will think I'm a weirdo or even a freak. I now have no chance with her at all," I whispered to myself.

Tears started to roll down my tinted red cheeks. It had only been a few weeks, but it felt like months. I can't believe in this short amount of time, that I had fallen in love with her. I haven't even had a whole conversation with her!!

"I really wish I was back home. I could go to Lo... Oh my god! I totally forgot I have his number!!!!" I wiped away the tears and took out my phone and started to compose a new message.

"Are you finished moping around?! I really have to shit and I don't want anyone in here," said someone from the last stall.

"Yeah. Sorry about that."

I walked out after I dried my face and finished the text. 'I really hope he answers soon.'

**********Lilly's POV*********

I sat at my desk messing with a pencil. I had already finished the assignment and had nothing better to do. My mind started to travel towards the subject of Creed. 'Where did he go? I only told him I was sorry. Was I that mean to him? I'll try to get to know him. He seems like an interesting person.'

At that moment, I had decided that I would, for the second time in my life, I would try to make a friend. It had been so long since I had a friend. What was it, 6th grade? Yeah. The day they moved up to the middle school. The day my best friend had left me to become popular. Even though we promised no matter what happened, we would still be friends. Ever since then, I have been bullied by the person I once knew as my best friend, my "sister".

Flashback!!!

It was the most dreadful day for all 6th grades in West Virginia, the first day of middle school. (So some don't go up to middle school until 7th grade, but I decided 6th.)
The day where friendships are split up by classes and other people.

A young Lilly walked hand and hand with her best friend, Emmalae. Lilly had her hair up in a ponytail with ribbon in it and wore a dark blue backpack. Blue was her favorite color of all time. Beside her, Emmalae had her hair in a French braid and had a bright pink backpack with all kinds of glitter on it.

They walked down the long and scary hallway towards the gym. As they approached the doors to the gym, Lilly turns to look Emmalae in the eye.

"No matter what, we will still be friends, right?"

"Duh. Why wouldn't we? We've been friends since toddlers. We're basically sisters. Nothing can split us up!"

Emmalee hugged Lilly tight and then they opened the doors to what would be the worst year of Lilly's life.

The bell rang for lunch. I got up, put my things back in my backpack, and started towards hell's den. We weren't allowed to go outside for lunch or for any reason at all. If someone tried to open one of the doors, an alarm would go off for everyone to hear.

I decided that I would find Creed, apologize again, and then ask him if he wants to sit with me. Not so hard, right? Well, I was wrong. I couldn't find him anywhere. He wasn't in the commons area, cafeteria, nor the office. There was only one place left; the library. To be honest, I had never been in there, no one had.

I opened the door and walked into the room. There was a desk to the left and eight tables in the middle of the room. The desk and tables were surrounded by dozens of bookcases. All of them were filled with books about several different things.

I saw only two people in there, the librarian and someone else who was sitting at one of the tables. I couldn't see their face because they had a hood over their head. So I started walking towards them, hoping it was Creed so I could apologize, again.

I inched closer and closer to the person. Finally, I was right beside them. I reached out my hand and tapped the person on the shoulder.

They removed their hood and looked at me.

"Thank god it's you. I've been looking everywhere for you," I told the hooded figure which was Creed.

"Why have you been looking for me?" He asked me with a puzzled look on his face.

"I wanted to see if you would join me for lunch and I wanted to apologize again, for making you run away."

"You don't have to be sorry. I was the one who ran off. It wasn't your fault."

"If you don't mind me asking, why did you run off?"

Creed looked down at the table.
"The reason I ran away was that.... um. I...... I."

"What is it?" I questioned.

Creed's face got really red again, and finally, he said the words that he has been wanting to say since day one. "I ran away because I was embarrassed and I really like you!"
