Chapter 6

***********Lilly's POV**********

Two months later...

It has been two months since Creed and I had become a couple. We got to know each other really well. We were two peas in a pod. We knew everything about each other. I had never been happier in my life. I felt like I did back before Emmalae friend ditched me.

It was now October, the best month of the year. I loved it mainly because of Halloween. It's honestly one of the best holidays. All the creepy decorations in the stores, costumes, and best of all: CANDY! There was always an assortment of candies; Tootsie Rolls, Reeses' Pieces, Milky Way, Snickers, M&M's, and so much more.

Just the thought of candy made me drool. I absolutely loved candy! Maybe I should go buy a bag. I hopped off my bed and ran downstairs to the front door. I stumbled while attempting to put my shoes on.

"Mom! I'm going out to buy a bag of candy! I'll be back in 30 minutes!" I opened the door and skipped down the steps.

I have been in a better mood since Creed asked me out. I have never been in a relationship, so it was, complicated. I'll go ask him if he wants to come with me. I walked down the street a little way until I reached his house. I knocked on the door. It opened to show Creed's little sister, Rose.

"Hi, Rose. Is Creed home? I need to ask him something."

"Yeah, he's up in his room. You can go up there and ask him. I'm too lazy to. His room is upstairs and to the right " Rose opened the door wider so I could walk into the house.

I thanked Rose and went where she directed me to go. I knocked on Creed's door and waited for him to let me in. I heard footsteps coming closer to the door.

It opened to revel Creed with his dark gray hoodie, blue jeans, and hair his tangled in a mess. "Oh. Hi, Lilly!" His face lit up with excitement. He hugged and asked me to come in. My eyes gazes over the room. There was so much stuff in it; a desk in the far left corner, the bed parallel from it, a chest at the foot of the bed, a nightstand, and one bookcase full of Comicbooks. I sat on his bed while he went to go sit at his desk.

"So, why are you here? It's usually me coming to your house," he laughed a little and then looked back at me.

"I was wondering if you would like to come with me. We could also find our costumes for Halloween!" I was really passionate about Halloween.

Creed's phone buzzed. He turned it on and looked at the message. His eyes got wide, but I couldn't tell what it was, maybe a text from his friend or something.

"What is it? Is everything alright? Earth to Creed." I waved my hands in front of Creed's face but got no response.

"I'm sorry, Lilly. Something just came up. Maybe next week?" My face dropped into a frown.

"Oh. Okay. I'll just go get some candy then. I'll get you some, too since you can't come," I said as I started out the door.

"You don't have to get me any. I promise I'll make it up..." but he was too late, I had already shut the door and made my way down the steps.

I knew that he had other things to do and that I shouldn't have been so rude. I was contemplating going up and apologizing but I really wanted candy now. I decided just to come back with his candy and apologize then.

"Bye, Rose. Have a nice day," I said as I walked passed the little girl.

"You too, Lilly."

I closed the door and started down the sidewalk to the neighborhood's local Wal-Mart. Ah, yes. Wal-Mart. Better known as 'The White Devil.' I grabbed a basket and browsed the many shelves full of Halloween candy. It was such a hard decision; deciding whether to buy an assortment bag or just a bag of one type. I ended up getting an assortment bag and a bag of Snickers. (Creed's favorite)

I checked out and walked back to Creed's house. I knocked on the door again but this time, I was greeted by a stranger.

"Umm. Hello?" I was really confused, just 20 minutes ago it was Rose and Creed. Now, this guy was here.

The stranger was wearing a really flamboyant outfit. He had on a bright colored dress shirt with khakis, a flashy bow tie, and a pair of converse.

"Oh. You must be Lilly Daster. It's nice to meet you. My name is Logan Cooper, Creed's best friend from New York," he smiled as he extended his hand for me to shake.
