Of Nerdy and Emo [COMPLETE]

Chapter 11

**********Creed's POV**********

I sit in the waiting room impatiently with Lilly by my side hold my hand. We were now on hour four of waiting. I was growing very irritated quickly. The last thing we heard was two hours ago. TWO! It was driving me crazy! I started to bounce my leg up and down to try and calm myself down.

But yet I couldn't calm down! My best friend in the whole entire world just tried to kill himself and I didn't realize until now that he was thinking this way. I could've got him help so he didn't have to be tortured by the words of our past classmates.

"Mr. Cornwall, your friend has woken up and requested you." A nurse was coming out of Logan's hospital room holding a clipboard.

I stood up and rushed into the room as fast as I could.

"Logan! Are you okay?! How could you do that?! But most importantly, are you okay?!"

He looked like he had smoked for the past 10 years. He had dark circles under his eyes and he looked deprived of all energy. He couldn't even look me in the eye!

"I'm sorry, Creed. I know I shouldn't have done what I did but I had to get away. I couldn't take the teasing and I have something to tell you." Tears started to well up in his eyes.

"Logan, please don't cry. It's alright. I'm not mad. All that matters is that you are okay. Now, what do you need to tell me?" I looked into Logan's teary eyes, trying to decide if what he needed to tell me was important or not. Logan started to wipe his tears and clear his throat. Yep, this was important.

"Creed, you might see me differently after I tell you this so promise you will always stay my friend no matter what I tell you. Promise?"

"I promise, Logan. Now, what is it?"

"I'm... I'm gay, Creed. I have been since the first day we met. It's taken me awhile to understand it but I think it's time to tell you. All the bullying, was because they knew, they knew that I was gay." More tears started to spill out of his eyes as he told me the thing already knew.

"Logan, I've been your friend forever. I knew you were gay and I'm okay with that. Just because you prefer men doesn't mean you'll stop being my best friend." I walked over to Logan and encircled him in my arms. I know he needed me right now.

"Thank you, Creed." He started to weep in my arms.

(Time Skip)

Lilly walked into Logan's room, closing the door quietly. Shit! I forgot Lilly was out there. I was now sitting in the chair right beside Logan's bed.

He had just fallen asleep, he had cried so much that he passed out.

"How is he?" She walked up to me and held my hand.

"He's fine, for right now. They got most of the drugs out of his system. His blood finally thickened up and clotted in his wrists and legs." I looked down at my sleeping friend. Then it hit me, I could have lost him today.

Lilly looked me in the eye and said, "I want to apologize to him."
