~* Nao's P.O.V. *~
I slowly walked back to Old Man's office, thanking both Kami and Jashin for saving me from those fangirls. They wouldn't let go of me!
Especially the pink haired and blonde ones!
I still shiver at the thought.
My mind drifted off to more important things as my inward conversation at the academy invaded my thoughts.
If he's here already, does that mean they'll find me soon, too?
The idea made me slightly nauseous...
Not that I don't miss them or anything, I really do. But my purpose of leaving would be defeated if they were to find me so soon. It's only been about a year after all...
Without noticing, I had already made my way into the tower and up a couple of stairs. I was actually two feet away from Old Man's room and was about to unconsciously walk in. The only reason I came out of my head was because someone forced me to.
...By tackling me.
Squeaking, I face-planted onto the floor with a loud thump, groaning as my nose throbbed painfully.
"Ow! Ow! OWWWW! My nose!" I whined, grabbing at my face as I curled myself into a ball. I heard someone speaking to me but decided to ignore it and focus on my pain.
As I continued to moan, a door slammed open beside me.
Slamming right into my head in its wake.
Another yelp escaped my lips as I cradled the top of my head in pain.
Why is this happening to me?!
JUST AS I WAS THANKING KAMI AND JASHIN!
You know what?!
Fuck you both!
"Oh...Nao...Are you okay?" A faint voice asked from above before a cute, and familiar, growling cut them off from saying anything further.
'Mama...are you alright?' I peeked one eye open as the voice sounded in my head and saw a small, black and white figure standing protectively in front of me.
My eyes widened before the motion sent a wave of ache to my forehead. Groaning, I merely rolled onto my side and tried to fold into myself.
Sadly, it wasn't working at the moment.
"...Since when did pandas growl?" A familiar voice questioned, sounding less faint then before. His voice seemed too loud at the moment.
"Since fucking forever, asshole..." I murmured, rolling onto my back with an arm over my eyes to shield them from the suddenly harsh light. The soreness of both my nose and head hadn't subsided.
Actually...I think my nose is bleeding...
Little paddling reached my ears before I felt paws on my arm.
'...Mama?' A voice asked again, a soft sigh escaping my lips at the sound.
"What is it, Ura?" I asked aloud, feeling his wet nose bury itself into my palm. Before he could respond, the idiot who slammed the door into my head spoke again.
"I think a better question would be when did you get a panda?" I rolled my eyes, annoyed at the man speaking as his voice, as well as mine, brought a sharp discomfort to my head.
"Shut up, Scarface. You're too loud!" I complained, wanting to slam my face into a brick wall a couple of times so the pain will even out.
At least, I think that's how it works.
