Naomi's P.O.V:

After I finished my extended version of the song, the world seemed to spin again.

Come to life.

Sighing, I laid back across the mountain and stared at the now dark and star-filled sky.

"Why am I not trying to run away right now?" I asked myself, bolting up again as soon as my back touched the rough surface. Peering over to where I was caught earlier, I noticed it was heavily guarded with a bunch of people wearing strange masks.

Huffing, I glared at the weird group with narrowed eyes. I bet it was Old Man who set them up to this! I really hate that old fart. Scooting away, I laid back again, or well attempted to anyway. Now realizing I had moved back too far, I fell backwards from nothing to support me.

Now, any normal person would probably freak out but me? I just closed my eyes and waited for impact. Haven't you learned yet? I'm awesome which means things like this don’t scare me. People have to die sometime right? I just never imagined myself going down like this. Falling from a rock, I mean. I thought I'd be chased by angry villagers and meet my doom. Actually, this feels kinda nice. The wind dancing across my skin the way it does when I play music. My hair flying around my face as pressure dawned on me....

Okay, who am I kidding? I screamed the whole way down.

"Ah! Fuck you gravity!!" Came my screeching voice as I plunged into something.

I looked up from Icha Icha and glanced sideways at the idiot beside me.

"Did you hear something just now, Gai?" The green clad man shook his head while answering in a sing-song voice.

"No~ Nothing at all. Why?" Shaking my head, my eyes traveled back to my book to find the place I left off on.

"Nothing. Just hearing things, I guess." Gai laughed and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Ah! It seems you are losing your youthfulness, dear Kakashi! You are getting old!" My right foot 'accidently' made its way to his stomach making him fall of the roof we were seated on.

"Oops." Was my mumbled reply as I began completely absorbed in my book once again. Now, where was I? Oh right!

'He grabbed her arm and quickly brought her close to him once again.'

.

My eyes snapped open to see...water? I landed in water?! It's so cold! More importantly, I did all that dramatic thinking for nothing? Urgh. Waste of a valuable scene. But...for some reason...this feels oddly familiar. It's strange for me not to remember something...I remember everything that's happened to me since I was four. Weird.

Lungs reminding me that I was still underwater, I swam to the surface and pulled myself up, out of the water. Really, really cold.  Now that the wind is hitting me and all. I looked up to see that my backpack was still on the rock along with my flute, safe and sound. Breathing in relief, a smile crept its way to my face. Oh, right. I haven't told you the story behind that instrument yet, have I? I won't call it a flute in that term because...well...it isn't a flute. Well, right now it's a flute but it's not a flute.
