Chapter 13

When they were done eating they fell asleep at 6 in the morning. We were officially 5 hours away when everyone fell asleep. I still wasn't tired at all and was really bored at that point when I was driving in silence.

I decided at that point it wasn't a big deal because everyone was sleeping, and still needed to rest up from last nights concert. I wasn't the kind of person to wake everyone that was sleeping up, so I quickly pulled over, and got out my phone.

I put headphones in and played music up. I started driving safely again. I looked in the mirror to see the only persons car that I known to be that kind of car and license plate. I pulled the headphones out not that softly but not that hard and mumbled, "You little son of a beehive!"

There was no one for miles, so I went a little faster that came to 100 mph. I quickly registered in my mind that I haven't gotten my new exhausts on and that the sound of it woke everyone up.

"Maddy, What's happening" Ember asked. "Um, we got company" Naya said pointing to the car behind us. "Yeah, uh that's Lance" I said nervously. "What, How" Dad said. I quickly realized that he was tracking one of us, and that person was Naya. "Naya, you need to listen to me very carefully, you need to wipe your phone" I said looking into the mirror to see they were catching up to us.

"Okay, I hope you know what you are doing" Naya said and did as I was told and I stepped on the gas.

"Madison slow down, your going way to fast." Jack said. I slowed down to the lights turning red. "Come on, Come on" Ember said impatiently for the lights to turn. I started to stress out, so I gripped the steering wheel hard.

I guess Dad seen me grip the steering wheel and put a hand on my shoulder. I smiled and looked over at him square in the eyes. "Just breath, we won't let Lance take you" Dad said sweetly. "Yeah I know that, and that's one of the reasons why we came to New Jersey" I said chuckled nervously. "What do you mean" Daniel asked from the middle.

"The reason I've brought you to New Jersey is that we could use some help from....My cousins" I said keeping my eyes on the road.
