"Hey, Madison" Lance said. Ponyboy jumped behind me while Sodapop and Darry stood in front of Pony and I. "What do you want with her?" Darry asked protectively. "She's Lance's, give her to us and we won't have any problems" Chris said.

"Well you see here that she's acually not yours, she's ours" Soda said in the same tone as Darry. "Maddy Pony, run and get far away from here" Darry yelled protectively. We nodded, turned and ran.

"So" I said still running. I was going the same speed as Pony and he was in between a jogging and running pace. "So, have you, you know, been adopted yet?" He asked. "Actually yeah I have" I said.

Pony stopped and and looked at me in shook. "That's amazing Mini Manfs" he said and hugged me. I hugged him back. When we let go he asked "So we have to get somewhere safe, do you know a place?" He asked curiously.

"Yeah, uh your house" I said. " Your sooooo smart" He said jokingly that made me chuckle. Ponyboy wrapped his arm around my neck smiling away, I wrapped my arm around his waist smiling away too and we started to walk to his house.

"So, what are they like" Pony asked with both empathy and curiosity. "Huh" I said not really understanding. "What are the guys that adopted you like" Pony said in the same tone. "They are really great, the best adopted group of guys I could ever ask for" I said. "From your videos that seems like it" He said.

"What do you mean" I asked stopping in front of his house. "You seem happier, you were always happy I mean but" He said. "I get it Pony" I said and he hugged me. "Thanks you" Pony said. "For what?" I asked hugging him and looking up at him. "For being there for me through the last year since Johnny and Dally died" He sniffled.

I brought my one arm up around his neck and the other rubbing up and down his back. "Let's get inside, we don't want Lance to spot us" I said letting go. He nodded, let go and flashed a smile that made me chuckle and say, "What would I do without you?"
