Jane's POV

As I walk down the halls to the outdoor cafeteria, Eli said I'll find them out here. He's tricky, I have a feeling he's trying to play me. I can tell he's a player, wait- why am I acting like he likes me romantically? Is shake any thought of that away, friends. Only friends, I assure myself.

I finally spot Amy and her friend. I walk up to their table." Hey Amy!" I wave cheerfully, Amy's friends look me up and down and continue on with their conversation.

A boy, just a little taller than Amy springs up next to her, smile beaming and contagious. Amy turns to Kevin, "This is-" she is interrupted by his voice.

"I'm Kevin." He holds out his hand and I shake it. I sit down. "So Jane? How's everything, is Eli being a good boy?" She asks raising an eyebrow.

"I guess, He said I should start making friends, like.. maybe you guys?" I question my awkwardness.

"No need to ask!" Kevin explains, staring at my clothes and glasses. I smile awkwardly, slouching.

"Well. How was Eli? You never told us the details!" Amy stirs her drink while others lean in, waiting for me to say something, pfft, like I'd tell them about my personal life.

"Why would you need details?" I ask in confusion, Amy offers me fries, I take it and eat away.

"Well have you not seen him? Any sane person can see his good looks." Kevin explains in an as-a-matter-of-factually tone.

"I just want his face! That's all I ask of the world!" Kevin fake screams, I can already tell he'll be a fun person.

Amy giggles, "You already have such a lovely handsome face, Kevin!" he freezes, coughing nervously.

Amy coughs in sudden apprehension, "Plus, I don't need any more of my brother in my face than I have to already d-deal with." chuckling nervously, she reapplies her lipstick.

"By the way Jane, Amy and I were talking and I couldn't help but notice that you and Eli would make such a cute Coup-oof-" He doesn't finish his sentence due to Amy elbowing him in the rib cage.

"Bitch" He tackles her to the ground, Amy giggles and pushes him away, and he puts her in a headlock, then they stop in their tracks, as If they've seen a ghost.

I slowly turn and see Eli looking awkwardly at Amy and Kevin, they both stand up, look at each other awkwardly and Kevin brushes his maroon-colored collared t-shirt and flicks his light brown hair.

"-Uh... Hey, Eli." Kevin smiles. Amy walks up next to Kevin,

"It's not what it looks like!" She says quickly, Kevin laughs, Amy giggles and Eli chuckles, I snicker.

"So what brings you here to us Eli, we all know it's not to talk to me, even though I'm a gem to talk to." Amy compliments, flicking her hair, hand on her hip, her Chanel heels tapping impatiently on the floor.

"Well, actually I wanted to check up on this one." Eli walks up to me, wrapping an arm around me. Behind him are Amy and Kevin, high-fiving, silent squealing and making kissing faces at me. Very mature guys.

"Well, I actually want to tell you something very important." He says, looking at my frozen expression, he drops his arms, his hands now in pockets."What d-" I am interrupted by a loud squeal.

"POO BEAR! THERE YOU ARE! I thought I lost you." Zoe places her hands around Eli's broad shoulders, he has his hands on her paper-thin waist, pulling her closer.

They are about to kiss when they stop, inches away from each other. Zoe pulls away, turns around to face me, Eli's hands placed on her hips. "Well, I didn't realize this was a public show. Scat freak, can't you see my boyfriend and I are in the middle of something??" She points to the door.

"It's not me that's about to share saliva with someone in the middle of the school's lunchroom. Is it?" I smirk, hands crossed. She grumbles, and Amy's mouth is agape, Kevin silently smiles.
