Slappy quickly got up in front of me, protecting me.

"Slappy, I did not know--" I started.

"What are you doing here, brother?!" Slappy exclaimed. He clenched his hands into tight fists.

His twin brother chuckled. "Why, to see my family again," he answered. "Besides, I could not miss my own brother's wedding." He looked at me with a creepy smile on his face. "And you picked a hottie."

My cheeks suddenly turned bright red.

But wait. Why was that?

Slappy did not say that. Snappy did!

Stine and Hannah came into the house.

"What is going on here?" Hannah asked.

Stine's eyes widened when he noticed Snappy. "Uh, hi, Snappy."

Snappy smirked at him. "Hello, Papa."

The writer walked slowly towards him. "Snappy, it is so nice to see you again," he lied.

"Did you miss me?"

"Of course, I missed you."

Snappy narrowed his eyebrows. "I know when you are lying to me, Papa!"

Stine took a quick step back. "W-what do you mean?"

"I heard you and Miss Beautiful when you two were up in the attic."

Hold it. Did he just call me beautiful?

"Shelly and I were talking about the wedding. That is all," the writer lied again.

Snappy shook his head. "You were," he began. "Then the beautiful girl found my book and asked you about me."

Beautiful girl? Okay, he really needed to stop. I was blushing even redder.

Stine let out a heavy sigh. "Yes," he finally admitted. "But I told her everything about you."

Snappy crossed his arms. "Everything? You sure about that?" He looked at Slappy. "What about my brother? Does he know the real reason of why you made me in the first place, Papa?"

Slappy frowned at Stine as he held me close. "Papa," he said. "I thought that we would never see nor worry about my twin brother ever again."

Stine looked down.

"You did tell me everything about Snappy," I spoke up. "Right, Mr. Stine?"

The writer looked back up at us. "Not everything." He took a deep breath. "As I told Shelly, I started feeling guilty right after I put Slappy in his book. I really wanted us to be friends again and get along, but I had a feeling that Slappy would not give me the chance to do so."

He paused for a moment.

"I then made Snappy..." His face suddenly went pale. "...to replace Slappy."

Slappy was in shock at what Stine had just said to him. "Replace me?!" he exclaimed angrily.

I hugged onto him and gently rubbed his hand, trying to calm him down.

"You said that you created him because you wanted me to have a better brother! Wally never liked me!"

"Slappy, please," Stine pleaded. "I am so sorry that I tried to replace you. No one can replace you. It is one of the biggest regrets of my life, and I wish that I could go back and correct my mistake."

Snappy raised an eyebrow. "A mistake, huh?" he spoke. "Slappy is more of the mistake here. After all, I am much more powerful and cleverer than him."

Tears started to run down Slappy's cheeks.

"But you were filled with so much evil!" Stine launched out at Snappy. "There was still hope for Slappy! You did not want to change your evil ways!"

Slappy could not stand it any longer. "THAT IS IT!" he yelled. "THE WEDDING IS OFF!"

Hearing that, I suddenly burst out crying.
