Chapter 2

Dinah POV

When we pull up to the hospital I quickly get out with Regina screaming and crying in my arms. We finally reach the front desk and the lady looks up from her computer and looks at us then back down at the computer.

"Um..... Hello my sister broke her arm at the park." I tell the lady. She looks at me like I'm disturbing her like bitch you work at a fucking hospital.

"Get that clipboard and fill out the papers, the nurse should be out soon to call the kid back." she says with an attitude. I roll my eyes and walk away as Lauren grabs the clipboard. I try to hand Regina off to Lauren but she just clings to me, with her good arm, for dear life so I just try my best to fill out the papers while holding her and comforting her. I text my parents to let them know whats happening and they said they will try to get out of work.

"So stranger whats your name?" I hear Lauren ask the dark skinned girl.

"My name is Normani Hamilton." I hear her respond. Did i happen to mention that normani is gorgeous.

"Well Normani Hamilton, I'm Lauren Jauregui and this is my best friend Dinah Jane and her little sister Regina who you have already met." Normani looks at me with a little smile and I wave with a small smile. When I look back down at the papers I realized that I was done and that Regina had fallen asleep. I went to get up but laur stopped me and took them to the desk for me. About thirty minutes later I hear a lady call my sisters name and look up to see a nurse, I get up and look to see if Lauren was coming with us.

"Ill just stay out here so normani wont be alone."

"Y'all are more than welcome to come back too." I guess the nurse heard us, so Lauren and normani came back. The nurse lead the way to the room, when we get in the room I lay my sister on the bed careful not to wake her just yet. A few minutes later I hear the door open and see the doctor walk in.

"Hello I'm doctor Hernandez." she says with a smile as she reaches to shake our hands.

"Hi I'm Dinah and this is my little sister Regina." I tell her as I shake her hand then turn back to wake Regina. She stirs awake but starts to cry out in pain because of her arm. I get in the bed and whisper in her ear soothing things to get her to calm down.

"I'll give her some pain meds then I'll check out her arm." she says as she leaves to get the meds.

"Dinah, I want mommy." Regina tells me as I wipe away her tears that keep falling.

"I know baby I texted her and daddy and they said they'll try their best to get out of work." The doctor walks back in with a nurse that gives Regina a IV which causes Regina to wince in pain.

"Okay miss Regina how about we have a look at that arm of yours?" The doctor gently takes a hold of the damaged arm and examines it. "Okay I'm going to have a nurse take her for an X-Ray so we can see just how bad this break is Okay?" I shake my head yes and in comes a nurse with a wheelchair to take my sister, I kiss regains head as get off the bed, the nurse puts her in a wheelchair and takes her for her X-Ray. I take a seat next to Lauren and normani with a loud sigh, its going to be a long night I think to myself.I look over at the new girl and notice her eyes are closed.

"Hey Normani, you don't have to stay with us we could call an uber."

"I want to make sure shes okay and that y'all get home okay, so I'll just wait and drive y'all." she tells me as the nurse comes back with a screaming Regina. "Hey Hey whats wrong? What happened?" I ask her and the nurse.

"I had to move her arm for the X-Rays and it was hurting her." Doctor Hernandez came back in with the pictures and looked at me.

"Okay Dinah so she has a clean break, so what I'm going to do is give her the cast tonight Okay?" I shake my head understanding. "Any questions?" We all shake our heads. "Okay the nurse will be in soon with thee cast stuff."

On the way to Dinah's house (In the car)

Currently we are in Normani's car with me and normani in the front and my sister and laur asleep in the back. I look over at normani and ask "So what were you doing at the park?"

"I was just walking to clear my head and happen to sit down just to chill and then I looked over and saw your sister fall." she said while watching the road.

"I appreciate what you did for us today. If you wouldn't have been there I would have yet another bill to pay on top of this hospital bill, so thank you so much normani."

"Its no big deal I'm glad I could help." with that said I look out the window and see that we're pulling into my drive way. I get out and open the back door to wake Lauren and tell her to take my sister inside. I walk up to normani who is leaning up against her car door.

"Thank you normani you really helped me so much today."

"Its really no problem Dinah." she says as she waves me off. We sit in awkward silence.

"Well I guess I better get in there." I told her while pointing back to my house.

"Yeah I guess you should." she stands up straight. "See you around Dinah Jane."

"Yeah see you around Normani." I say as I take one last glance at the pretty dark skin.
