Normani POV

So today I'm going back to school but its only so I can see my DJ cause I missed her. As I get up and start getting ready I remember that I still have bruises that I need to cover. I try covering them up with makeup but that didn't really help so I just put on a hoodie and jeans with my nike slides. You can clearly tell I don't care today. I make my way downstairs and see the man I call my father laying on the floor passed out with beer bottles all around him. I roll my eyes as I make my way out the door. As soon as I turn to lock it I get a text from Dinah asking if I needed a ride.

dinahjane: Hey babe do you want Lauren and I too pick you up?

normanikordei: Yes please!!!

dinahjane: Alright see your cute ass in 5 ;)

Man this girl is something else. If I wasn't so messed up I would actually consider us being more than just friends who flirt none stop, oh and who had sex together. Oh man what I would do to go back to that night. I got broken from my train of thought when I hear a car horn.

"Hey mani." Lauren says as I get in the back. I just wave.

"hey babe." Dinah turns in her seat and winks at me. I blush and look out the window.

We reach the school and I see Lauren and Dinah get out but I stay in the car for a minute.

"Come on." I look up to see Dinah offering her hand to me, I take it and we make our way into the school hands intertwined. I smiled to myself.

"Hey baby." I hear Lauren say to Camila as we approach her. They are just too cute.

"You want to go to your locker?" Dinah asked with a tug on my hand.

"Um yeah I have to get my books."

"Okay lets go." she turns and faces the couple. "Guys we're gonna walk to manis locker we'll see y'all at lunch."

"You know manz class hasn't been the same without you there." I turn and look at her.

"Really?"

"Yes." we stop at my locker and I start getting all that I need. " Normani can I take you out Friday?" I look up to see Dinah with a cute smile on her face.

"As in a date?" I question.

"Yes mani. I like you, a lot and I have since the moment I saw you helping my sister." ( I know same thing they say in every fanfic)

"aw Dinah, baby, of course I'll go on a date with you." I reach up and wrap my arms around her neck and gave her a kiss on the lips.

"I can't wait. I have to go but I will see you in class." She gave me one more kiss before she ran off to tell Lauren the news or at least that's what I'm assuming.

Hey guys I'm probably gonna write a few more chapters and either end the book or just take a break for awhile because I'm not really inspired right now~J❤️
