Day Two of our days off and Kibo, Hana, and me are looking for Hikari's house. "Are you sure it's around here?" Hana asked
"Yes!" Kibo assured us "It should be at the end of this ... block,"
The 'house' at the end of the block isn't a house at all. It's a mansion!!! "We must have the wrong house," I say "Because there's no way -"
"HELLO!" called Hikari from the front door "Come in! There's snacks!" And by snacks she meant a very, very long table covered in sweets.
"This is your house!?!" I cried before taking some cotton candy
"Yeah. Where did you think I lived? A box," Hikari started laughing before stuffing three cookies in her mouth.
"Well I was not expecting this," said Hana, who wasn't eating anything.
"These snacks are nice," said Kibo "But where do we unload our gear?"
"My room of course. Oh! How rude! I should have taken you there first. Come on, come on!" Hikari did two cartwheels and then started skipping up the stairs and even did a flip on them!
Hikari's room looked like something out of Fuwa Fuwa Dream. With the beautiful background, dreamy bed set. And all the toys and games there were! But the most beautiful to me was a small china carousel.
"You like it?" Hikari asked "I think it's so KAWAII!!! Mommy gave it to me,"
"Wow, she had taste," said Hana "So are your parents super busy a lot?"
"Daddy is, but when he comes over we always have so much fun!" Hikari sighed with the thoughts of her father in her mind.
"What about your mom?" Kibo asked
"Mommy died when I was seven," Hikari said with a frown
"Oh ..." I bite my lip and look at Hana. We're both thinking the same thing. My parents. "Maybe now's a good time to tell you,"
I tell them everything, about how I never knew my parents, how all I knew was to work on my Aikatsu to find them, but I did not tell them my greatest fear.
"Kalani, I'm so sorry," said Kibo as she put her arms around me.
"It's fine ... or at least it will be when I find my parents,"
"Hikari and Kalani both have no mother," said Hikari "I'm sorry about your parents,"
"I'm sorry about your mom," I guess I should be thankful, at least my parents aren't ... Then the horrifying thought crosses my mind. What if my parents are dead? What if when I 'find them' I'll only see tomb stones. "Mr and Mrs. Polu,"
"Are you okay?" Kibo asks "You look pale,"
"I-I ... I'm fine," I say "I'm fine! Let's just ... unload our gear,"
After unloading everything next to Hikari's massive bed, we change into our PJ's and circle around a small plastic table in the room where Hikari had transferred some of the snacks.
"So what should we start with?" Hikari "Ghost stories? Truth or dare? Both sound KAWAII!!!"
"Ghost stories? Cute? I'm not so sure about that," I say
"Ghost stories it is!!!" Hikari cries "So who wants to start? OOH! Hana you should!"
"Why?"
"Cause you're spooky! And if you don't I'll hug you!"
"Alright! Alright! I'll tell a story," Hikari turned off the lights and handed Hana a torch. "What is this for?" she asked
"For spooky lighting!" she answered "Now spin your tale!" Hana rolled her eyes.
"So one day, a little boy went out into see on a row boat. He wasn't too far away from his father who was at the shore. So the boy had heard stories about a girl who died at sea and her spirit skimmed the surfaces of the waters. The boy called her names five times to summon her ... and she appeared. Surrounded by the spiraling waters of the ocean, the dead girl in her ghostly form hovered only a few feet away from his boat!"
I shivered, this story was getting really scary.
"'Why have you summoned me?' she asked angrily 'Is my soul some kind of game to you that you may summon it whenever you please for entertainment?' 'It was only a test' the boy explained 'I didn't think it would work' The ghost hair's started to float into the air from her fury. 'Well for your ignorance i will -'"
"DEATH!!!"
"AAH!" I'm screaming at the top of my lungs, so is Kibo, and Hana ... where is she? Did the ghost girl take her? Oh! She must have summoned her soul my mistake! Oh no! Oh no! And Hikari is ... laughing.
"I got you guys good!"
"W-where's Hana?" I asked
"Down here," I looked below where Hana was and in the darkness saw her lying there. "She hit me with a pillow,"
"That was uncool!" said Kibo as Hikari turned the lights back on. "You nearly killed me!"
"Me too!" I added "Hikari, are our lives really worth a scare?"
"Um ... well you didn't die so I'd say yes!" I grabbed a pillow and thru it at her "Pillow fight!" Hikari grabbed a pillow, thru it at me and I was knocked off my feet and onto my back.
"Ouch,"
"NO! Pillow fights!" said Kibo, before she was hit with a pillow.
"Why don't I play us some music?" I asked
"Oh yes!" Hikari cried "You said you played guitar, right?"
"I did ... but I left it at the dorm,"
"Hikari, do you have a guitar?" asked Hana "I mean you have everything including the kitchen sink in this place,"
"Of course I have a guitar!" said Hikari.
And of course it's a Fuwa Fuwa Dream Guitar. "Play something for us!" Kibo asked "Please,"
"Um ... sure,"
So I say thank you for all that you have given me!
Yes I must thank you for the person I turned out to be!
Cause the journey's rough like they have no end
So I say thank you for being my friend!
"KAWAII!!" Hikari squeeled
"You're not half bad," Hana added
"You're awesome!!" said Kibo "Did you write that?"
"Yeah, I write a few songs,"
"Why didn't you tell me!?!"
"I don't know. It never came up. I mean, how often does something like that come up in conversation,"
"A lot when you're an idol!" Kibo cried "Think you'll be willing to perform one of your songs in front of people?"
"I-I don't know, maybe," I sputter "But I don't think any of them are worthy to be performed in front of anyone. I can't just -"
"Say no more!" Kibo cried "I know the perfect song writer to help you!"
