Lapis (A Steven Universe Fanfic)

Chapter 1: Sins

It was a regular day at school, Lapis was in gym class wearing her favorite gym outfit with a baseball cap. They were all playing volleyball that day.

"Come on! Let's go team!" Ms. Yellow shouted.

"Hit it to Lapis, she'll blow it!" A girl named Amethyst with long white hair says.

"Don't blow it Lapis, hit it!" She shouted at her. Lapis tried to hit the ball but missed.

"Ugh!! Lapis! You did it again! What the hell!?!" Lapis felt her hit her shoulder with her hat.

"Look at her! Just standing there!" A girl named Ruby says.

"You eat shit!" Amethyst says to her as she walks away. Lapis sighs sadly as she walks into the locker room to change. She walked up to the shower and began to take her clothes off. She stepped into the hot water that pours down onto her skin. She begins to clean her breasts and the rest of her body until she felt something drip from between her legs.

It was blood. She wiped some off between her legs and looked in horror. Lapis didn't know what was happening. Tons of blood dripped into the shower's drain. She screamed as she walked towards the middle of the locker room with everyone still getting dressed.

"Help me!!" She screamed as she grabbed a blonde girl's shoulder.

"Ah" Peridot's eyes widen as she saw Lapis wiping blood on her jacket.

"Have a tampon Lapis!" Amethyst smirks as she throws one at her.

"HELP ME!!! HELP ME!" Lapis screamed, with tears streaming down her face. Every girl in the locker room laughed and started to throw tampons and pads at her.

"Plug it up! Plug it up!" They all chanted. Even her best friend Peridot was joining in. Her cries filled up the room. Suddenly, Ms. Yellow hears the commotion and gets up.

"What is going on?!" She asked as she walked through the crowd.

"Peridot! What are you doing?!" She demanded.

"Lapis, she just got her period!" She tells her. Ms. Yellow runs over to Lapis as she screams at her.

"Come on Lapis, it's okay! Relax! Just stand up and take care of yourself..." She says. Lapis screams, and suddenly the light bulb breaks from above the locker room.

"Alright, that's it. Everyone out of here! This instant!" She shouted at all the girls. Amethyst and Pearl smirked as they walked out. Peridot sighed, nearly in terror as she walks away.

"I'm so sorry. I-I didn't know. It's going to be okay. Their all gone." She says as she comforts her. Lapis cried as she hugged Ms. Yellow.

"Isn't she a bit old for her, uh..." Ms. Blue asks.

"Her first period. Until a half-hour ago, I don't even think she knew there was such a thing." Ms. Yellow told her.

"It's really... hard to believe a girl in high school wouldn't know her, you know."

"Well she didn't. But I don't know why that should surprise us, knowing that mother of hers." Ms. Yellow rolled her eyes.

"We can't interfere with people's beliefs." Ms. Blue says.

"I know.."

"As for the girls.."

"Lapis has always been their scapegoat." She says.

"You have to do something about it!"

"I will!"

"The thing is Blue, I knew how they felt. The whole thing just made me wanna take her and shake her, too. But it was just her period for God sake!" Ms. Yellow says.

"Well we will send her home. Ms. Rose will you send in Lassie Lazula?" Ms. Blue asks.

"It's Lapis Lazuli." Ms. Yellow groaned. Lapis walks in the office with Ms. Rose, with her hair still wet.

"Come in Lassie!"

"Lapis..." Lapis muttered.

"Ms. Rose, would you bring her a dismissal slip?" Blue asked Ms. Rose. She nodded and went to get a slip.

"I thought you might take the rest of the day and go home, take care of yourself Lassie. We're all very sorry about this incident." Ms. Blue apologizes.

"It's Lapis..." She muttered again as she looked up at Ms. Blue.

"Would you like a ride home? You want me to call a cab?" Ms. Blue asks.

"I'm sure she can walk home Blue. And, Lapis, you're dismissed from gym for a week. Just take study hall instead." Ms. Yellow tells her. Lapis nods at her.

"We're all sorry about this incident Lassie." Ms. Blue says.

"IT'S LAPIS!" Lapis shouted as she knocked down a vase with her powers. She rushed out of the office and slammed the door. She began to walk home when she saw a guy on his skateboard.

"Hey look Buck, it's the creepy witch lady!" Lars laughed as he pointed at Lapis. She growled as she knocked them over with her telekinesis.

"The hell!?" Lars gasped as he sat up from the road. Lapis sprinted to her house and ran upstairs to her room. She heard her mother in the room talking to someone on the phone. She quietly walked downstairs and peeked to see what she was doing. 

"Thank you.." Her mother said as she puts the phone down.

"I know you were listening. Come downstairs." Her mother says.

"Mother? Who was that, who called?" Lapis asked her.

"You're a woman now.." She told her.

"Why didn't you tell me mother!?" She asked with tears in her eyes. She slapped the bible at her face. Lapis screamed as her mother pushed her down to the floor.

"And God made Eve from the rib of Adam and Eve was weak and loosed the raven on the world. And the raven was called sin. Say it." She demanded as she slapped her face.

"Why didn't you tell me mother!?"

"Say it!"

"No mother!!"

"The raven was called sin!" She snapped at her.

"No.. The raven was called sin!" Lapis cried.

"And the first sin was intercourse! The first sin was intercourse! Say it!" She shouted.

"I didn't sin mother!!" She cried.

"The first sin was intercourse!!" She shouted at her.

"And the first sin was intercourse! I was so scared mother! I thought I was dying, and the girls all laughed at me!" Lapis cries.

"Are you homosexual Lapis?" Her mother asks her.

"W-what, I-I don't know.."

"Homosexuality is a sin you little bitch! Get over here!" She growled as she grabbed a lock of her hair and dragged her to the closet. Lapis screamed as she tried to get her mother off her.

"Go in there and pray the gay away! Pray all the sins away! For the lord!" Lapis screamed as her mother closed the door and trapped her inside the closet.

"Mother! Please! Let me out!! Mother please! GOD!!!" Lapis screamed as she banged on the door. She finally gave up and cried on her knees.
