Epilogue

A few days later

Peridot was in her room, having a nightmare about the incident that happened a few days ago. Her mom was in there with her, hugging her. The blonde screamed as she woke up from her nightmare.

"Honey, are you alright?" She asks.

"Y-yeah.." Peridot stammered. The phone began to ring in the other room.

"I'll be right back sweetheart." She said as she went to get the phone.

"Hello? Oh hello Ms. Quartz." She greeted.

"Oh yes she's getting better. But she's been sleeping too much. The doctors said that's to be expected after all she's been through." She explained.

"Yeah, she's been really heartbroken since all of her friends died in the fire. I think it's best she doesn't go to school until she's recovered."

"Alright thank you. Goodbye." She hanged up.

"Mom..?"

"Yes?"

"Can I go out for a moment?"

"Are you sure, you still need some time recovering." She says.

"I-I'll be fine.." She says.

"Alright, call me if you need anything!" She shouted. Peridot walked out of the door and drove down to the grocery store. She walked down the aisle and picked up a bouquet of roses. She bought them and drove across the neighborhood. She got out and walked up to the area where Lapis's house use to be.

She saw a gravestone with Lapis and her mother's name carved onto it. Tears rolled down her face as she saw graffiti on her gravestone that read, "Lapis Lazuli burns in hell!".

Peridot was outraged that people were still bullying here after she died. She kneels besides the grave and placed the roses down.

"I'm sorry Lapis. It's, my fault that you died. If I only I didn't tell Jasper to go with you, and if I stood up to Amethyst, none of this would of happened." She choked out with tears.

"You don't deserve any of this. I'll visit you everyday! I don't care if people will hate me!" She cried.

"I'll always love you Lapis..." She says as she sadly smiled down at the roses. She began to walk away until she felt something hugging her. She looked back and saw nobody was there. She smiled sadly and walked away.

Peridot swore she heard a voice familiar to Lapis saying these three words:

"I love you too."
