Chapter 4: Determination

"Well?" Ms. Yellow asks as Jasper and Peridot were sitting in the office.

"Well, what do you want to know?" Peridot asks,slightly annoyed.

"Why Jasper asked her to prom." Ms. Yellow  says.

"I asked her to." She says.

"Why? What could you possibly have in mind?"

"I thought it would be a good thing for Lapis to have a date to prom,  to make her feel like she's apart of things." Peridot explained.

"Why couldn't you take her?" Ms. Yellow asks.

"Because I'm dating Amethyst..." She rolled her eyes. Suddenly someone knocks on the office  door.

"Come in." Ms. Yellow says. Pearl enters the room with papers in her hand.

"Yes?"

"I got you the attendance sheet Ms. Yellow." Pearl says as she hands them to her.

"Thank you Pearl, you may go now." Pearl exits the room.

"Which brings us to you." She glares at Jasper and Peridot.

"Ms. Yellow, I have to get to practice." Jasper says.

"Well that is too bad isn't it?"

"If you don't mind it's between Peridot and I!"

"But I do mind... unless, of course, you'd like to continue this little discussion in Ms. Blue's office." Ms. Yellow says.

"What is the big deal!?" Jasper asked, raising her voice at her.

"Because it is a very big deal for Lapis Lazuli, and you know it." Ms. Yellow yelled back.

"She already said no anyways.." Jasper mutters.

"Good, so don't try to force her to go with you!"

"You can't order someone not to take someone to the prom!" Peridot shouted.

"I can make sure you don't hurt Lapis Lazuli anymore."

"We're not trying to hurt her, Ms. Yellow. We're trying to help her!" Peridot shouts.

"How!?" Ms. Yellow sighs, then looks at Jasper.

"Hey, Jasper, um... Don't you think you'll look a little ridiculous when you walk in the prom with Lapis Lazuli?"

"I don't care how we will look." Jasper growled at her and nods at Peridot.

Jasper drove down the neighborhood to find where Lapis lived. Peridot knew where she lived, so she gave her the address. She finally found the house that matches the address. She got out and walked up to her doorstep. She began to knock on the door and wait. After a few seconds, Lapis shows up and opens the door.

"Hi Lapis." Jasper greeted.

"Hi.." Lapis says.

"So this is where you live huh?" She asks.

"What are you doing here?"

"You're not gonna ask me in?" Lapis shakes her head.

"I can't, mother's resting. So what do you want?"

"About the prom again.." Jasper says.

"I already told you..."

"But you can change your mind. All girls do that."

"Why are you doing this?" She asks.

"Cause I want to." Jasper smirks.

"Stop.."
