Chapter 7: Massacre

Peridot smiled at the two winning Prom Queen and King. She suddenly began to notice a rope on the stage was moving quite rapidly. She looked up and saw a rope hooked up somewhere to the top of the stage. She sees a bucket on top of where Lapis is standing. Peridot gets suspicious and walks near the stage to get a closer look.

Ms. Yellow turns around and frowns as she sees Peridot, who wasn't allowed to come to the prom without a date, just looking up over the stage. Peridot knew Amethyst was up to something. She was planning to ruin her night with Jasper.

Jasper leaned in and held Lapis close for a kiss. Lapis kissed back, passionately. Peridot looked down at the rope to see where it was coming from. The rope lead behind the back of the stage. She saw a shadowy figure holding a rope firmly. Peridot ran towards under the stage curtains and saw Amethyst and Buck under there. Amethyst was holding the rope smirking.

Peridot growled, but she turned around and saw Ms. Yellow grabbing her.

"Peridot. You need to leave. You don't have a date. Leave!" Ms. Yellow demanded.

"But Ms. Yellow Amethyst is planning to ruin Lapis's night!" Peridot insists. Amethyst growls as she sees Peridot trying to sabotage their plan.

"Amethyst is suspended and she isn't here! I don't want you to ruin her night so leave!" Ms. Yellow shouted as she pushes her out of the room. Amethyst finally yanked the rope down when Ms. Yellow pushed Peridot out of the gym.

The bucket falls from the top of the stage, as blood pours all over Lapis. Blood splattered all over the stage, all over her dress and face. Everyone stopped clapping and gasped as only the sounds of the dripping bucket can be heard. Ms. Yellow looked like she was about to cry at what happened.

Connie and Steven looked up at the stage, horrified at what just happened. Pearl began to laugh at the scene as Lapis was covered in blood.

"What the hell!?!" Jasper shouted angrily, demanding for an explanation. Suddenly, the bucket falls right on Jasper's head. Jasper fainted, and had a head concussion. Pearl began to laugh louder. Lapis looked at the crowd in horror and pain as tears were in her eyes. Lapis couldn't tell what was real anymore. She just heard everyone in the crowd laughing at her.

"They're all gonna laugh at you!" Her mother's voice kept repeating in her head.

"They're all gonna laugh at you!" Lapis saw Connie and Steven laughing at her, she even saw Sour Cream laughing at her.

"Plug it up! Plug it up!" Ruby and Sapphire were laughing at her as well.

"We're all sorry Lapis." Ms. Blue's words echo's in her mind. Ms. Blue was also laughing hysterically at her.

"Trust me Lapis, you can trust me! Trust me Lapis." Ms. Yellow's voice echoed in her mind. Lapis felt betrayed as she saw Ms. Yellow, one of the only people who cared about her, laughing at her.

"They're all gonna laugh at you!" Lapis cried loudly in pain as everyone laughed at her. She felt that everyone hated her, like she was a big joke.

Amethyst laughed as she grabbed Buck's hand and ran out of the gym fast as possible.

"Come on!" Amethyst giggled as they ran out.

"They're all gonna laugh at you!" Lapis cries and looks at everyone in the crowd laughing at her. She suddenly feels anger boiling in her. She looks at everyone with pure hatred in her eyes. Then, Lapis finally snapped.

Lapis shuts all the doors and windows of the gym, so nobody could escape. Everyone looked each other in confusion.

"Somebody open this door! What is going on!?" Peridot shouted as she tries to get the door open. Lapis angrily stared at everyone, and turned the lights out. Lapis screamed in anger as she knocked everyone over in the gym.

She knocks a lamp over Ruby and Sapphire. Ruby coughs up blood as Sapphire was trying to help her. Pearl tried to run out of the building by the doors would not budge. Lapis growled at her as she lifted Pearl up with her force, choking her to death. She slammed Pearl into the glass door frame, which a shard stabs Pearl's throat.

Everybody in the gym screamed as Lapis stands there showing no sympathy for them. Lapis unleashes water from the pipes and sprays water at everyone. Connie screamed as the water pushed her to the wall.

"Connie!" Steven screamed as he ran up to her. Lapis lifts up wires and shocks Ms. Blue with them. Ms. Blue falls to the ground as she was electrocuted to death. Ms. Yellow gasps as she runs up to check her pause, but it was already too late. Everyone screamed as they tried to get out of the building.

"LAPIS STOP! PLEASE! LAPIS!!" Ms. Yellow cries. Lapis looked at her with hatred and stabs Ms. Yellow in the chest with a emergency axe. Blood ran down Ms. Yellow's mouth as she slowly died. Amethyst and Buck slowly watched in horror as what was happening inside.

Lapis strangles wires on Steven as he cried in pain. The stage and the whole gym began to light on fire. Lapis slowly walks away from the flames with emotionless eyes. She walked out of the building and closed the door to let everyone to die. Firetrucks could be heard ringing in the streets.

Amethyst looked at Buck terrified at what happened. Buck turned off the breaks as he saws Lapis in the road, all bloody.

"Oh shit." Amethyst mutters under her breath. Lapis makes the car crash into a ditch, as it blew up in flames. She watched as Amethyst and Buck both burned to death. Lapis begins to walk slowly towards her house.

She walks into the house to see it was all a mess. She didn't see her mother anywhere and assumed she was sleeping. Lapis walks into the bathroom and rinses all of the blood off her body. As she washed off, she walked out of the bathroom to find her mother.

"M-mother?" She croaks.

"Mom! It was bad!" Lapis cried as she hugged her.

"They all laughed at me.." She sobbed.

"Please hold me mama. Please hold me!" Lapis pleads.

"I should have killed myself when he put it in me. After the first time, before we were married. Randy promised never again. He promised, and I believed him." Her mother sobbed.

"But sin never dies. Sin never dies. At first it was all right. We lived sinlessly. We slept in the same bed, but we never did it. And then, that night, I saw him looking down at me that way. We got down on our knees to pray for strength. I smelled the whisky on his breath." She explained.

"And he took me, And he took me... He took me. With the stink of the filthy roadhouse whisky on his breath. And I liked it. I liked it! Well, all that dirty touching in his hands and coming all over me... I should have given you to God when you were born. But I was weak and backsliding. But now the devil has come home." She stroked her face gently.

"We will pray.. We will pray, for the last time." She stroked her head and hugged her. Tears rolled down her cheek. Her mother began to pull a knife behind Lapis. She gasped as she felt pain on her back. Lapis rolled down the stairs and looked up to see her mother holding a knife. Lapis tries to get away.

She saw her mother wearing a psychopathic grin on her face. She attempted to stab her again until Lapis forced knifes onto her mother and stabbed her. Her mother groaned in pain and laughter as she finally died. Lapis stares at her dead mother for a few moments. She finally screamed as she hugged her mother's corpse. She suddenly feels something shaking above her.

The roof was about to collapse. Lapis tried to get herself and her mother out of the house. But it was too late as she was trapped inside the burning house. Which Lapis slowly died with her mother's corpse in her arms.

Lapis wondered why she even existed in the first place.
