Part 8

I got to school the next morning. I wore a gray tshirt with black sweatpants and converse shoes. I put on my sunglasses and just put my head down as I was walking past everyone to get to my locker. I stopped at my locker as tom approached me.
"Hey cas how are you?" He asked opening his locker that was next to mine.
I gave him a week smile and just nodded my head.
"I'm fine" I said grabbing my books out from my locker....

I knew she wasn't fine. I was so pissed at Harrison and I hadn't spoken to him since that night. I was just in such shock that he would do something like this and hurt our best friend. As Cass grabbed her book out I noticed something on her arm. I held it up,
"Cassidy what's on your wrist?" I asked.
I saw 3 huge black and blue bruises  that made a circle around her wrist.
"What the fuck what happened" I asked getting concerned.
She looked down at her wrist and then back at me.
"Oh it's nothing, I just uh I just fell going up the stairs last night" she said and then put her head back down.
I shook my head in disbelief. I know her and I know that she was lying to me.
"I'm not stupid. Tell me what happened" I said.
She started to tear up a bit.
"It's um it's not a big deal he didn't mean it" she said.
"What? He? Who?" I asked getting all panicky.
She just shocked her head and closed her locker.
"Harrison wanted to talk last night, so we did. And as I was walking away from him he grabbed my arm cause he didn't want me to leave. But I don't think he meant to hurt me I swear" she said lowering her voice. I slammed my locker and walked away towards Harrison's locker that was down the hallway.
I approached him by hitting him on the shoulder.
"Dude what the hell is wrong with you?" I yelled starting to make a scene.
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"Have you seen Cas? She's a complete mess and her wrist is all bruised up! I can't believe you just stay away from her! " I screamed in his face.
"For your information she agreed to just be friends and forget about the whole situation." He said trying to calm me down.
But there was no way I was going to calm down.
"She's our best friend Harrison. And you hurt her" I said starting to lower my voice.
He closed his locker shut.
"Just shutup tom. Just stop. You're just upset that you weren't the one to make the move on her first" he said walking away.
I turned around to see Cassidy standing on the other side of the hallway, watching everything that just happened.
