CHAPTER 14: A NEW WAR

Velro was waiting on the other side of the portal with a group of soldiers as I dragged Cindy along with me out in front of the jail. One of the soldiers came and placed handcuffs on Cindy. He then pushed her along as the rest of the group except Velro followed along. "Sure you can figure out how to separate Majesta from Cindy?" Velro asked. I sighed "I can try, the notes from the lab we found Crimson in will sure help with figuring out how to do it, by the way where is Crimson?" I asked.

"With your wife at the hospital, she's apologizing for destroying part of the Ministry" Velro said. "Yeah but she wasn't the only one who took a crack at us today" I said as I looked at all the broken buildings and dead bodies still littered all over the street. Suddenly there was a loud BOOM! From the other side of the ministry. "That sounded like it came from the front gate" I said. "Looks like people are still taking cracks at us" Velro said. I opened a portal to the front gate and me and Velro ran through. Soldiers were running around all over the place preparing for battle.

There was another BOOM! At the front gate and the ground shook. Our entrance into the ministry was a tall wooden gate about the height of a cruise ship. It was made from enchanted wood that should've kept it strong and durable, but it seemed as if the whole thing was about to burst. Velro grabbed a soilder who happened to be running by. "What's going on, who's attacking?" Velro asked. "We're being attacked by Dereks army" the soilder said. "Derek?" I said in surprise, "why would Derek attack the ministry?" Velro asked me as he let the soilder go.

"Ugh, he wants the relic, he wants to prove that he could protect it better then me" I explained. Suddenly there was a BANG! As the gate blew up into small pieces. Dragons started to fly in and blow fire on the soilders who were trying to defend the gate. "Dang it we barley have the defenses to fight back" Velro said. I took my sword out and raised it over my head, "no I'll be your defense!" I yelled as a bolt of lightning came down hitting my sword.

I absorbed the electricity and waved my sword at the sky. Bolts of electricity flew everywhere hitting all the dragons. The people riding them fell of burnt to a crisp and one by one every dragon fell from the sky lifeless. Velro sighed in relief "what would we do without you?" He said smiling. "It's not over" I told him. Derek then came in walking through the now destroyed gate with Samantha by his side and an army behind him. All of my soilders who weren't already dead rushed to me and formed an army of their own behind me.

"We're terribly outnumbered" Velro said. "But not outpowered" I told him as Derek approached us. He and his army stopped a few feet away from us. He had on his long dark overcoat and four guns in his belt along with two swords on his back. We stood there for a second starring each other down. "Well well well, this place looks even worse then before" Derek finally said. "Still safer then your so called kingdom" I responded. Derek frowned, "oh I beg to differ" Derek said. Velro stepped forward "Derek stop acting childishly, we've fought along each other, we've defended this place since Ms.Pillar was in charge".

"So have I" Samantha said, "but times have changed" she finished. "Alright tell ya what" Derek said. "I'll leave right here and right now, if you return the relic you stole". I looked at Velro who looked back at me. We then looked back at Derek. "Sure, you can have it once you get passed my corpse" I said. Derek sighed "wrong answer". Samantha then leaped towards Velro and kicked him in the chest sending him falling back. This distracted me long enough for Derek to rush up to me. Once close enough he did a front flip kicking me under my jaw.

I was sent flying in the air like a cannon and falling right onto the roof of a house. The two opposing armys then went to battle. I got up to my feet holding my jaw. Ouch the actually hurt I thought. Suddenly Derek appeared in front of me with incredible speed. I swung my sword at him but in a matter of milliseconds he did a back flip over my sword and body. He took out two guns and pointed them at the back of my head in mid air.

"I'm faster then anything the human eye can see" he said as he pulled the triggers. Two bullets struck the back of my head with the force of two bombs going off. I flew forward through multiple buildings before landing on a car crushing it. I grunted in pain, I broke at least two bones and gained a huge headache. I got to my feet but was quickly knocked back down as Derek came from out of nowhere and smacked me in the face with his gun. I fell to the ground as a stream of blood fell from my lips.

"I expected more out of you" Derek spat as he pointed both his guns at me. "So after all we've been through are you just going to kill me?" I asked. "You disrespected everything I stand for plus you stole the relic" Derek said. I spat some blood out and wiped my lips. "Well do it then, pull the trigger and kill me if you think you have what it takes" I said sinisterly. Derek hesitated for a second, I took the chance to jump up at him and punch him in the face. He flew back into the building behind him.

I then summoned a ball of fire in my hand and threw it at the building. But Derek jumped through the roof of the building before it blew up with him in it. In midair he pointed both his guns at me and fired of two shots. But I teleported behind him and swung my sword at him. Derek quickly turned and blocked the blade with both his guns. I grabbed him by the neck and flew up into the air dragging him behind me. "I tried going easy on you" I told him as we flew higher towards the invisible shield that covered the Ministry. "But you're really starting to annoy me".

I was about to throw him at the shield so it can burn him to a crisp but I noticed something was wrong. The shield was transparent like glass so I could see the sky behind it. And for some odd reason I noticed something was coming towards the shield from the other side. Well it doesn't matter, nothing can get through the shield without being incinerated. Suddenly the object hit the shield with a loud BOOM! And busted right through it with ease.

The shield was destroyed and the large object was falling so fast I didn't have time to react. The object hit me like a cannon ball causing me and Derek to plummet back to the ground destroying a whole neighborhood in the process. I had dropped Derek and my sword and was laying in a pile of rubble. I slowly sat up as an immense headache started to form. What hit me? I wondered. "Deeeerrreekkk" someone growled from behind me. I already knew the sound of that voice and automatically felt scared. I turned to see Ken.

He had no shirt on so his muscles were showing, if a monster truck and a body builder got together Ken would've been the child, this guy was massive. "Ken! How'd you get here?" I said as I rushed to my feet. And that's when things got worse. I noticed Carnage was holding on to Kens back for dear life. He smiled at me as he hopped off of Ken. "Hey did you miss me?" He asked.
