Chapter 7
Chelsea's POV
"Chelsea?" Drew asked in a surprised whisper.
A small sob of happiness escaped my lips. I'm going to get saved! Thank you, God. Thank you so much. "Y-yes!" Oh, God, please let him find me.
"How did-where are...what...oh my God..."
"Drew?" I questioned.
"How do you know my name? Well it's Andrew, but-"
I'm an idiot. "I heard Mark. But I decided Andrew was too long. Sorry, I don't have much to do so I kind of listen to everything..." Geez, I sound like a creeper.
Drew's POV
She gave me a nickname. That's cute. Wait-"You hear everything?"
"Yeah?"
This is not the time to ask her if she's heard my breakdowns. God, I hope not. "We'll talk about that later. How do I get you out?" I can't wait to tell Z she was right. She's alive.
"Well, I don't really know. I don't know what the opening looks like. I mean, no one's found it for five years. It's only a six-by-six room." I think my heart might have broken just a little. Woah- I cannot believe I just thought that. Aye, what the hell, I can have some feelings. I am human.
"I'll look." I got on my hands and knees and started looking around for any sign of opening. "Can you keep making noise so I know where to look?"
"Mhm. The best thing about tonight is we're not fighting. Or could it be that we have been this way before..." She continued singing my favorite song. Damn, she's got a beautiful voice. I bet she picked up the song from me. I can't help but smile.
My hands swept over something sticking out of the ground and I stopped. I saw very, very tiny hinges. "Chels', I found it!"
"You did!?" I've never heard anyone sound this excited.
"Yeah, let me just get it open-"
"Andrew?" Uncle Mark. Shit.
"Yeah, coming!" I answered him. "Don't say a word or he'll know I can hear you. I will get you out and I won't let him hurt you. I'll protect you." I'll protect her.
I'll protect Chelsea.
A/N
I forgot to put an author's note in the last chapter, so the song Drew was singing was Animal's by Nickelback. My shoutout goes to an up-and-coming book, Pepsi @Deliz10 .
