Chapter 11
Chelsea's POV
Mark's car pulled down the street the same moment the door to the house I lived in five years ago opened. I'm sure just standing here, we look like wild creatures from the woods or something.
You know in movies when people stand there frozen in one spot and your screaming at your TV "Run! You have working legs, RUN!"? Well if my life was a movie, then this would be one of those moments. I couldn't move. I stood in the middle of Mark's front yard, my heart rate starting to increase. I looked in between my mom and the car that was coming closer each second. My mom hadn't noticed me yet, she kept her head down walking to her car. She had on a pencil skirt, and a white blouse with black heels that clicked every time she took a step. Her blonde hair was straightened to a T and fell down her back. She walked to her white car, perfectly clean and kept, both her and the car.
I looked back at the red truck that was coming closer. "What the hell? That's my truck!" Drew said. I continued to watch as Mark looked at us and went completely pale. He looked at my mom, then immediately turned around in record time and went illegally fast down the street and out of site.
My mom looked beside her to see the car but looked at me instead. She immediately dropped her white, no stain, purse and dropped to her knees. Tears fell down her face as she stared at me. Drew squeezed my hand. "Mom?" I questioned.
"Chelsea," she cried. Drew let go of my hand as I ran into my mom's outstretched arms as I knelt down, just like her. "Chelsea, baby, I-I, it's you."
I sobbed into my mom's shoulder, "I'm free. I-I'm finally free."
We stood up and let go of each other. Drew placed his hand on my shoulder. "Hi, I'm Andrew-"
"He saved me," I cut in. "Without him, I would definitely be dead this time."
"This time!?" My mother started sobbing again.
I was about to comfort her when the front door of my family's house opened. "Andy!" A girl's voice called out. I turned to look and saw, oh my gosh, is that Suzi?
"Z!" Drew bent down and opened his arms. She ran into them and he picked her up and spun her around.
"Suzi?" I asked once Drew put her down.
"Who are you?" She asked.
I did that thing where you laugh and cry at the same time. "I'm you sister, Chelsea."
"I knew you were alive!" She yelled and ran into my arms. I hugged her tightly.
"Suzi! You can't just run out of the-" my dad yelled running out of the door. He stopped when he saw me. I set Suzi down and ran into my dad's arms. Wow, lots of running today. "Butterfly?"
"Daddy!" He remembered my nickname. After our hug I looked at everyone. "I missed you all so much."
"We missed you too, butterfly," my dad said.
"How'd you get here?" My mom asked.
I looked at Drew who gave me a small smile and a reassuring nod. "I've been trapped in Mark's house for the last five years."
My mom dropped to the ground sobbing. My dad rushed to her and scooped up bridal style and carried her inside. I followed behind Suzi and Drew followed behind me.
The house was just as I remembered it, except now it was was very very clean. "I'm so sorry! Baby, we've looked everywhere but in this neighborhood. We even looked in every house a block away. We-I-I-I'm-it's-oh Chelsea..." my mom sobbed.
