Chapter 25
Chelsea's POV
He kissed me. He kissed me. He fucking kissed me. I don't know whether to be happy or pissed. I should be pissed! He has a freaking girlfriend he was just making out with this morning and then he just kissed me! But then again...it was the best kiss imaginable. His lips...on mine...they for perfectly....and the way I felt when they connected...But he has a fricking girlfriend!
I couldn't concentrate in a single class. Plagued by my worries and thoughts of Drew. I flew under the radar. I don't think anyone recognized me sense Drew wasn't there. (Where did he go? I have no idea.) And I didn't see Drew's girlfriend at all either.
By the end of the day, I was terrified. Nothing had happened yet and all I could hear was Tiffany's voice saying "She's not going to come back to school tomorrow." Drew was no where to be found. How the hell am I supposed to be protected?
Our Father who art in Heaven, hallow be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespassers as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art though amongst woman and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for our sinners now and at the hour of our death.
Glory be to The Father, and The Son and the Holy Spirit is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
I just kept praying. All the way to Drew's car-and it's not there. "Seriously?" I muttered standing in the middle of the parking lot. A horn honked so I looked towards the car.
"Need a ride, cutie?" Tony called out of his window. Swallowing back the bile at his word, I nodded and squeezed into his tiny car.
Tony attempted small talk on the way to my house but I gave brief answers. I just don't like him.
When he pulled into my driveway he grabbed my hand before I stepped out of the car. "Can I get your number before you leave? You can give it to me as an exchange for a thank you."
STRANGER DANGER! STRANGER DANGER! "Uh..." I hesitated. "867-5309," I said the first numbers that came to mind. His fingers moved rapidly across the phone screen putting the number in. Good, he believed me. "Bye," I called as I ran inside. No one was home so I locked the doors, triple checked them, and made my way to my room.
I took a shower.
No Drew.
I are dinner.
Still no Drew.
I read a couple of chapters.
And still no Drew.
Just as I was about to close my eyes for an early night to sleep, I heard Drew's voice ring out down the hallway. I froze. Today's events replayed in my head.
He lightly knocked on the door, opened it slowly and quietly, and turned my lights on. "Chels', we need to talk."
A/N
I am so sorry for how long it took to upload. School is my número uno priority (I'm learning Spanish, guys :P). But I reread this book and honestly, it sucks. I am so sorry. I will be going back to fix it, and when I do I'll let you all know what I changed/added. I'd also like you guys to pray for my neighborhood. To my neighborhood, neighbors mean more to us then what most people think. We are literally like a family. And about a month ago we lost a member of that family. We love you, Mr. Bill and we'll never forget you...
